To maintain the regatta's reputation as an superlative sailing event, entries have been capped at 500. One of the big attractions of Cork Week, which takes place at the Royal Cork Yacht Club in Crosshaven, Ireland every two years, is the five different courses which will be sailed each offering a unique challenge.

Cork Week's well-deserved reputation for competitive racing combined with unparalleled on-shore entertainment has attracted the usual eclectic fleet from the Max Z86's sailing in Class 0 to various mixed sports groups.

Robin AISHER of Yeoman fame will be at the helm of Anthony O'LEARY'S successful Corby 35, Antix which, this year, won its class at the Irish IRC Nationals and, just recently, won the Bell Lawrie Scottish Series Trophy for the best overall performance at that event. O'Leary himself will be competing in the 1720 National Championships which will take place during the week.

Eamon CROSBIE'S successful Ker 32, Voodoo Chile, which won the Red Funnel at Cowes and Class O at the Irish IRC Nationals, will be at Cork Week which will also see the first outing for Colm BARRINGTON'S new Ker 39, Flying Glove.

Both Roy Disney of Pyewacket and Hasso Plattner of Morning Glory will be joined by local sailors, Donal MCCLEMENT and Mark MANSFIELD respectively, which is sure to enhance what is expected to be keen competition between these two boats.
