Whilst a repeat performance of two bullets from Tuesday's racing would be hard to match, Pont holds his lead with a 2,7, although Julien BONTEMPS is hot on his heels only 1 point behind.

As the defending Champion, Bontemps will be keen to put in a top performance in the remaining races. With racing postponed at the time of writing this morning due to lack of wind, the conditions may be in Bontemps favour. Historically Pont prefers the stronger conditions, although of course he has proven his ability to perform across all ranges. Victory at this ISAF Grade 1 event could given Bontemps the points he needs to edge even higher in the ISAF World Sailing Rankings, where he is currently enjoying his highest ever world ranking position at number 2.

Over in the women's fleet it is Lise VIDAL (FRA) who had the best performance in yesterday's two races, placing a 2, 2 to consolidate herself at the head of the fleet, with a 5 point margin over Blanca MANCHON (ESP). Blanca, who up until last year was still eligible to participate at the ISAF Youth Sailing World Championship where she placed third in 2003 and second in 2002 - a young sailor with an exciting future ahead. At last year's European Championship Lee LAI SHAN (HKG) took the Gold, with Blanca placed 22.
