Idea Gdynia Sailing Days
Gdynia

On the second day of the Idea Gdynia Sailing Days Tornado and 730 (non-olympic class) set off to the sea for the first time during this regatta.
The day before Laser, Finn, 470, Europa and 49er started their races. The weather was very good today with a northerley wind blowing around 12-16 knots. The waves, although quite big, were easier to sail in than yesterday.

Monika Bronicka (POL) after her unlucky first day, tried to catch up with the other competitors. Despite being unwell, she took 3, 4 and 3 position in todays races.

In the 49er class Paweł Kacprowski and Paweł Kuźmicki (POL) hold first place. Yesterday during the first race the Ukrainian crew Rodion Luka and Georgi Leonczuk broke their mast. A Polish crew helped them and lent them a mast.

In the Finn Class Mateusz Kusznierewicz (POL), who took the lead after 5 victorious races was beaten only once by Wacław Szukiel (POL).

The first day on the Tornado course was at the same time the first start in Poland with the new rig . After 3 races Andrew Kiriluk and Walery Uschkov (RUS) took the first place before Jacek Noetzel and Arek Hronowski (POL)

Tomorrow we have another day of the regatta at the Baltic sea. However for those sailing Mistrals it will be the first day. We expect exciting competition with Przemysław Miarczyński (Poland), newly crowned vice-champion of Europe and World taking part.
