RYA JSRA British Championships blast off this weekend
Round one - Tattershall Lakes, Lincolnshire
Round one of the RYA Jetsport Racing Association British Championships kick off this weekend (13/14 April) at Tattershall Lakes in Lincolnshire.
Some 50 riders will line up to compete over the course of the weekend, battling for the first vital points of the season, in the bid to secure one of ten RYA British Championship titles that are up for grabs.
The Championships will be fought for over six rounds at six locations across the country throughout the summer, in the hunt for the 2013 British Champions.
- Round 1 – 13 - 14 April - Tattershall Lakes, Lincoln
- Round 2 – 27 – 28 April – Rother Valley Country Park, Sheffield
- Round 3 – 8 – 9 June - Port Talbot, Wales
- Round 4 – 22 – 23 June - Doncaster Lake Side
- Round 5 – 13 – 14 July - Avos Preston
- Round 6 – 31 Aug – 01 Sept - TBC
Amongst the competitors will be double World Champion James Bushell. The 28-year-old whose titles include; eight World Championships, eight British Stock championships and nearly 20 other international championships, will be looking to defend his 2012 RYA British Runabout GP Title.
Racing takes place on Saturday and Sunday with riders competing in three motos over the duration of the weekend. On water action gets underway from around 10am on both days for mandatory practice sessions with racing starting at approx. 2pm Saturday and 10.30am Sunday.
