Join a Club

Many clubs offer a cost effective way to get afloat.  Situated around the coast, inland and more recently internet based, they offer everyone the opportunity to get involved.

Clubs are a great way to get afloat regularly. Many offer club boats that can be used by the members and their families and also a social scene. They provide an affordable way of going afloat with like minded people and come in many different forms.

Traditional clubs offer facilities and infrastructure such as a clubhouse, club boats, facilities and initiatives to get youngsters and adults afloat. Based at Coastal or Inland venues mainly with waterside access, they are great places to meet, get afloat and socialise. The majority of clubs offer a full race diary and many coastal and river clubs offer cruising and power boating.

The past few years has seen a growing trend of ‘virtual’ internet clubs, who have no direct facilities but lots of regular events. They actively organise cruises and events and usually have a regular meet up at a local pub. With no facilities to maintain, their membership costs are usually very reasonable.
