A couple of documents have been prepared for consideration by Standards committees and these may be of interest:"Test method to assess the electrostatic suitability of materials for retained electrostatic charge""Methods for the calibration of electrostatic measuring instruments"A general overview on static electricity and relevant methods for its measurement is available on this Website as: "An Introduction to Electrostatic Measurements". This is an enhancement of the Notes prepared for the: 'Introductory Workshop in Electrostatics'that preceded the 'Electrostatics 2003' Conference held at Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh.Attached to this Website are two papers (1 & 2) presented at the Institute of Physics Annual Congress in Brighton, April 1998 on charging of the body getting out of cars. There are also some notes about the use of electrostatic fieldmeters for measuring atmospheric electric fields and suggested standard documents concerning instrumentation and procedures for assessing how effectively materials control the influence of retained static charge.Click here for outline biographical notes on John Chubb Click here for a list of earlier JNC papers published on high vacuum work on condensation pumping of hydrogen and Monte Carlo modelling of free molecular gas flow.
