With many thanks to Nick Neve for sharing this with us for our combined benefits. We flew from Stansted airport to Pisa and hired a car. The drive to Marina di Grosseto was 2 hours and the navigation simple: head South on the motorway, turn off at the first signpost for ‘Grosseto’ and follow the signs for ‘Marina’. The club is at the North end of the village and the yacht marina at the South end. The distance between is a 15 minute walk (teenager pace). I was immediately taken with the place. The village is a ribbon development along [...]
In 2010 the official Dutch RS Feva class association was founded. At that time about 20 Feva’s raced regularly. In 2011 the RS Feva Worlds were organized in the Netherlands, which really grew the RS Feva Class in the Netherlands. We were delighted and surprised to have 30 Dutch Feva’s enter the World championships in Brunisse. The growth of the Dutch Feva class has been amazing, which was once again confirmed by the number of Dutch Feva’s at this year’s worlds at Hayling Island. The United four regatta (2 in May and 2 in Sep) is one of Europe’s foremost [...]

I suspect he may have been sneaking some training in after his coaching at the RS Feva Worlds this summer! Well done James and Ed. photo Thomas Ebenberger.
