The countdown to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games is well and truly on!
British Airways, the official airline partner to the London 2012 Games, is helping British talent to take off in the run up to this historic event.
Back in February 2009, UK Sport announced a partnership with the airline to support British sporting talent. A new scheme offering benefits such as discounted flights and excess baggage waivers is available for athletes on the World Class Performance Programme, training staff and management. Also available are discounts to families wishing to travel to watch athletes compete in certain competitions.
Every time athletes travel for training or competition purposes they will benefit from the scheme. It is, after all, essential for athletes to arrive feeling fresh, fit and revived - benefiting from the upgraded experience with British Airways and ready for the activity ahead.
From the luxury of Terminal 5, to the privacy of the exclusive lounges and service offered on board, British Airways is dedicated to ensuring athletes arrive feeling calm and prepared for their onward journey.
This partnership has been designed to provide a range of benefits to all athletes and officials associated with the World Class Performance Programme.
British Airways has now sent out ID Cards to all athletes that will assist them when they are travelling with British Airways for training or championship purposes.
If you need to make a booking please e-mail London.2012@ba.com and British Airways will provide you with a booking form and reference number. For further information can be found in the document below.
