A
great offer from the Committee to prospective members.
Anyone joining during 2011 who does not own or wants to postpone
buying a boat, can use a club LARK free of charge for a
while to give them time to decide which fleet to join !
Vacancies currently exist in all our fleets, we would welcome
your enquiry. Follow the links on this page for more information
or visit the club on a Sunday to see our fleets in action.
We also have club owned Laser Pico, Optimist and Cadet dinghies
plus a beginners sailboard for new members to try out sailing

: Junior windsurfer Lewis Barnes enjoying
club racing. In 2010 Lewis won our overall Sailboard
fleet summer series trophy, a very worthy achievement
which required persistently high performance racing
throughout the season. Many of our young sailors achieve
high standards both within the club and further afield
in regional and national events. Click on "Training"
to find out more. | |
Our emphasis
is on friendly, family orientated sailing. Expert tuition is arranged
for children, youths and adults and we have fleets of Optimist and Pico
dinghies available for training purposes. Healthy competition is encouraged
through a strong class sailing structure.
Our
club is independent, run by the members for the members. We all take
part in helping to run race days and events such as Open Meetings, each
class sailed at the club hosts one of these each season and they attract
visitors from far afield.
