ASC Enterprise Open 2012 - 30th September
Fleets
Four visitors joined the home fleet of 9 Enterprises on a brisk Sunday morning for the final event in the 2012 Enterprise Nimbus Series.
Race 1: The race officer started the fleet from the clubhouse line, set with inner & outer limit marks and the fleet got away in a SW force 4 gusting 6 towards the top of the reservoir. At the windward mark, half the fleet were on starboard tack with remainder on port, and following a few noisy moments, a few were left doing turns and the remainder got away. After several capsizes in the fleet, a few retirements and many place changes, the final positions were 22320 Martin & Laurence Davis 1st, 22885 Kevin Bilham & John Wells 2nd, Phil & Laura Bevan 3rd, 22901 Paul Young and Phil Harrison 4th, 23094 Antony Cole & Andrew Holmes.
After a hearty lunch with bangers, mash, veg, and apple pie the next two races were sailed back-to-back.
Race 2: with the wind dying off a little, the same course was raced, Antony Cole  & Andrew Holmes had a flying start, followed by Paul, Phil and Kevin, and after several place changes, Paul was the eventual winner.
Race 3: The conditions remained very much the same. This time Phil got away followed by Paul, Kevin, Duncan & Richard Jenkins and after several changes of places between Phil and Paul, Phil remained in the lead followed by Paul, Antony and Martin.
The prize giving was held in the clubhouse; Paul Young, the winner, thanked the RO and his team, as well as the galley crew for a superb lunch.

Enterprise Open writeup, photos and results

Laser Plate (2 races) and RS300 Autumn cup (3 races) sailed the same day also. Well done Andy Omasta and Barry Steel respectively.
