ICO's publication scheme compliance

The ICO’s Guide to Information is the information that we routinely publish in order to fulfil our obligations set out at section 19 Freedom of Information Act 2000. The ICO has adopted the Information Commissioner’s model publication scheme and follows the definition document for non departmental public bodies.

The ICO regulates the Freedom of Information Act but is also a public authority as defined by the Act and therefore must comply with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act.
