RYA to conduct investigation following Weymouth P1 powerboat incident

The RYA's Powerboat Racing Manager John Puddifoot has confirmed that the Royal Yachting Association, the national body of powerboat racing in the UK, will be conducting a full and independent investigation into the incident, with the race organisers, Powerboat P1, providing full co-operation with the appointed panel.    

We can also advise that Powerboat racer and navigator Dan Whapples, who sustained serious injuries in a race incident in Weymouth on Sunday, is showing signs of improvement although he remains in intensive care in Southampton General Hospital.
