Conferences 

The RYA provide conferences annually in order to update and improve skills required by those who can influence the sailing world.

The RYA holds conferences through out the year:

Club and Coach Conference

Usually held around the beginning of December

The RYA Club and CoachConferences are aimed at all those with an interest or involved indelivering, planning or coordinatingc lub training, racing and coaching for both juniors and adults.

The conference should inspire committees, active volunteers and coaches with new ideas to start planning their new season’sprogramme. Updates from your RYA High Performance Manager and RYA Regional Development Officers on what is new including essential information for your club on any funding available. There will be a choice of workshops so you can select the one most relevant to your needs and guest speakers on specialist topics. It is also an opportunity for coaches to revalidate their Level 2 Racing Coach Certificate.

Regional Instructors Conferences

Usually held around February to March depending on region.

This conference is for all windsurf, power boat and national sailing scheme instructors. The day is a mix of practical on-water sessions with on-land workshops for instructors with top tips throughout the day from local Coaches and Trainers within the industry

Principles Coaches and trainers Conference

Usually held around February

The Conference is an annual conference, run over two days. Delegates are provided with a unique opportunity to meet and network with other Training Centre Principals, Powerboat and Windsurf Trainers and Dinghy Coach/Assessors.  

Packed full of presentations from guest speakers and industry professionals to a mixture of workshop discussions. Plus an update from the RYA Training Manager and the latest news from each of the training schemes.

Sailability National Conference

Usually held around November

A great opportunity to chat to other sites, network, talk about new ideas and other peoples experiences. The programme usually includes a mixture of keynote speakers and workshops. The Sailability Volunteer Awards are also presented at the conference.
