Notices to Mariners w/c 13/02/2012 

The following Notices to Mariners have been notified to the RYA.

Trinity House

No. 14/12 D3 - Please see notice in download area regarding Nab Tower Lighthouse, South Coast of England.

No.13/12 C6 - Approaches to Harwich, East Coast of England - mariners are advised that on or about 8th March 2012:
Station: Walker Lighted buoy
Position: Latitude 51°53'.791 N  Longitude 001°33'.903 E
Amendment: Existing buoy discontinued and new buoy established in lieu
Characteristics: Pillar: Yellow above black above yellow: Q(9)15 seconds.  West Cardinal topmark.

Station: S.W. Shipwash Lighted buoy
Position: Latitude 51°54'.750 N  Longitude 001°34'.213 E
Amendment: Existing buoy discontinued and new buoy established in lieu
Characteristics: Pillar: Yellow: fl.Y.2.5 seconds. Yellow 'X' topmark.

NtM No. 46/11 C15 (dated 15th December 2011) previously refers.

No. 12/12 B3 - mariners are advised that on or about 8th March 2012, Coquet Lighthouse, East Coast of England, light to be exhibited night time and in periods of reduced visibility.  NtM No. 45/11 B8 (dated 7th December 2011) previously refers.

Northern Lighthouse Board

No. 6 of 2012 - Covesea Skerries (A3414) Moray Firth, East Coast of Scotland - mariners are advised that with effect from 2nd March 2012 the light at this station will be permanently discontinued.

No. 7 of 2012 - Rattray Head (A3304) East Coast of Scotland - mariners are advised that on or about 8th March 2012 the existing light will be withdrawn and replaced by a temporary light.

Strangford Narrows

Mariners are advised that there are planned operations on the SeaGen tidal turbine system, situated in Strangford Lough, which may impact on navigation.  Please see the pdf in the download area for further details.
