Notices to Mariners w/c 06/02/2012 

The following Notices to Mariners have been notified to the RYA.

Trinity House

No. 5/12 E1 - Mariners are advised that on or about 1st May 2012, fog signal to be permanently discontinued at Tater Du Lighthouse, Mounts Bay, South West Coast of England.

No. 6/12 E2 - Mariners are advised that on or about 2nd May 2012, fog signal to be permanently discontinued at Trevose Head Lighthouse, Approaches to the Bristol Channel, West Coast of England.

No. 7/12 C3 - Mariners are advised that on or about 10th February 2012, it will be necessary for the following amendments to be carried out to facilitate laying of a subsea cable through the Swale Channel:

Station: Whitstable Street lighted buoy
Position: Latitude 51°24'.000N Longitude 001°01'.540E
Amendment: To be temporarily moved to Latitude 51°23'.850N Longitude 001°01'.800E

Station: Pollard Spit lighted buoy
Position: Latitude 51°22'.983N Longitude 000°58'.568E
Amendment: To be temporarily removed

Station: Ham Gat lighted buoy
Position: Latitude 51°23'.083N Longitude 000°58'.318E
Amendment: To be temproarily removed

No. 8/12 B1, C4, D1, E3, F3, G1 - Please see notice in download area regarding use of AIS as an Aid to Navigation.

No. 9/12 B2, C5, D2, E4, F4, G2 - Please see notice in download area regarding GLAs Public DGPS Transmissions.

No. 10/12 C6 -  Orfordness Lighthouse Latitude 52°05'.033N Longitude 001°34'.459E, East Coat of England - due to operational reasons the AIS transmission service has been permanently discontinued.  MMSI No. 992351016.

No. 11/12 F5 - Mariners are advised that Hartland Point Lighthouse (Latitude 51°01'.326N, Longitude 004°31'.530W), South West Coast of England, has now been permanently discontinued and a new light established adjacent on a stand alone structure in the aforementioned position with the following characteristics: fl (6) 15 seconds with nominal range of 8 nautical miles and carried at a height of 30metres above MHWS.

Lancaster Port Commission

No. 001 - 2012 - Mariners are advised that River Lune No. 10 buoy is currently unlit.

No. 002 - 2012 - Mariners are advised that River Lune No. 3 buoy is back on station at 53°58'595N, 002°57'614W.

No. 003 - 2012 - Mariners are advised that River Lune No. 10 buoy is now lit.

Northern Lighthouse Board

No. 4 of 2012 - Halliman, Moray Firth - East Coast of Scotland - mariners are advised that on or about 13th February 2012, a new buoy and racon station will be established.

 

The Notices to Mariners above are not a comprehensive list, but instead a list of those which the RYA has been notified of. It is your responsibility to check Harbour Authority and developers’ websites for notices relating to the area in which you intend to travel.
