RYA Navigation CoursesRYA Navigation CoursesWe teach navigation theory at our training centre in Ringmer nr Lewes in Sussex. Entry level sailors take RYA Day Skipper theory, either as a stand alone, Monday to Friday course or as part of a combined or fast track course whereby theory skills are put into immediate use and context by combining the theory and practical elements of the course together over 9 or 10 days. RYA Coastal Skipper and Yachtmaster candidates take the Coastal Skipper & Yachtmaster Offshore shorebased course. Building on Day Skipper theory this course takes everything you have learned to a higher level. Not entry level, you'll need RYA Day Skipper theory first to succeed on such an intensive course. RYA Yachtmaster Ocean theory is for the Blue Water sailor who wants to be prepared for the day when all the electronics go 'phut'- it will happen one day.
