Terms and conditions

  • The Organiser is Southampton International Boat Show Limited, company number 1247541, Marine House, Thorpe Lea Road, Egham, Surrey, TW20 8BF. The Show is the PSP Southampton Boat Show 2012. 
  • Visitors will not be allowed admission to the Show without a valid ticket. When tickets are purchased in advance please check them on receipt as mistakes cannot be rectified on presentation of the tickets at the Show. For all ticket queries please call SEE Tickets on 0871 230 7140. 
  • Promotional or discounted tickets cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. 
  • All tickets, discounts and promotions are subject to availability.
  • Presentation of the ticket for Show admission constitutes acceptance of the terms and conditions upon which the Organiser, is prepared to grant entry. 
  • Tickets can not be exchanged, or transferred, nor may they be resold for commercial gain. 
  •  No refunds are available on tickets.
  • A ticket is valid for one admission only (unless expressly stated by by us).  Removal of the stub or any alteration may invalidate the ticket.
  • Up to two children 15 and under can gain access to the Show with every standard adult ticket presented. This does not apply to Premium tickets; including but not limited to the Platinum and Ladies Day tickets. 
  • All children entering the Show must have a ticket. To obtain child tickets you can order in advance via the website or the call centre. Alternatively, cashiers at the main Show entrance can issue child tickets with the presented adult ticket.
  • For public safety the Organiser reserves the right and ultimate discretion to refuse admission to or to eject visitors to Show or with respect to Show Features in reasonable circumstances (for example taking health and safety, environmental and security concerns into account), and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of customers.  Customers should note that they may be refused entry or ejected from the venue on account of being (or appearing to be) abusive, threatening, or drunken, declining to be searched, carrying offensive weapons or illegal substances or for any other anti-social behaviour.
  • The Organiser reserves the right to defer, rearrange, amend or cancel Show Features at any time. If for any reason beyond our reasonable control we cannot offer you the Feature at the time or date specified, we will endeavour to offer you a suitable alternative time within the duration of the Show; no refunds are available. 
  • Except for any liability for: (i) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; or (ii)  fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (iii) any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law; we the Organiser, our Members, staff, agents or representatives will not be liable, whether in contract, tort (including but not limited to negligence or breach of statutory duty) for any damage to property, accidents or injuries incurred at the Show.
  • The Organiser reserves the right to alter or vary the content or timing of the whole or any part of the Show without obligation to refund or exchange tickets.
  • The Organiser cannot accept financial or other responsibility for any loss or liability incurred by the public at the Show, which arises or may arise as a result of contracts entered into by visitors with any exhibitor or for any advice sought or obtained from any exhibitor
  • The Organiser cannot accept financial or other responsibility for any loss or liability incurred by the public at the Show for any loss or damage to personal property brought into the Show. 
  • Visitors may be filmed or recorded for broadcast, marketing or security purposes during the Show.
  • The distribution of leaflets or any other advertising material or the sale of articles anywhere within the Exhibition premises is strictly forbidden without prior written permission from the Organiser; who reserves the right at its absolute discretion to confiscate such articles for infringement of this condition.
  • A transaction fee will apply to each individual booking transaction. Please note online purchases are limited to 9 tickets per transaction; ‘Group Bookings’ for purchases of 10 or more tickets must be made by phone from See Tickets.
  • There will be no re-admission to the show. 
  • The Courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction in respect of any dispute arising from this web site or any information contained in it.

 

 

PLATINUM EXPERIENCE TICKET

  • The purchase of a Platinum Ticket is subject to Terms and Conditions for General Ticket Purchases, Platinum Experience Tickets and those outlined on the Platinum Power Boat Experience Form; which must be validly submitted on the day of attendance to gain access.
  • The Platinum Ticket shall be valid for one day only and shall only be redeemable on the on the time and date booked; as indicated on the printed ticket issued by  the Organiser or their authorised agents ’SEE Tickets’.

  • This ticket permits Show entry and the retained ticket portion must be shown to board the pre-booked Power Boat Experience in addition to the submission of the Platinum Power Boat Experience Form.

  • Each Platinum Ticket permits one person entry to the Show; no concessions are available and children must hold a valid ticket. Children under the age of 8 are not permitted on the Power Boat Experience. All children aged 9-15 years must be accompanied by an adult.

  • The lapel badge does not constitute valid proof of ticket purchase and cannot be used to gain entry to the Show, the Power Boat Experience, or the Platinum Lounge. 

  • Proof of a valid ticket and lapel badge entitles the holder to entrance the Platinum Lounge where they will receive morning tea, coffee and pastries, hot fork buffet lunch, afternoon tea and cake. Any additional refreshments may be purchased from the private Platinum Bar within the Lounge at your own cost. Alcohol is only served to those aged 18 years and over.

  • Please note that the Platinum Lounge is accessible by steps only, and boarding the luxury power boat may require using steps. Should you have any difficulty please inform us preferably prior to booking your Platinum Experience ticket(s), or prior to arrival so that we can make alternative arrangements if possible.   • To take part in the Platinum Power Boat Experience a valid Platinum Power Boat Experience Form must be completed on the day of attendance.

  • All participants of the Platinum Power Boat Experience must wear a properly fitted buoyancy aid and comply with any advice or direction from the Organiser or their staff, agents or representatives at all times whilst undertaking the Platinum Power Boat Experience.

  • Participants of the Platinum Power Boat Experience must notify the Organisers at the time of booking of any medical condition that in the participants opinion could be affected by taking part in the Power Boat Experience, e.g. advanced pregnancy, back complaints, heart conditions etc. The Organiser reserves the right to refuse any booking or access to the Power Boat Experience on medical grounds.

  • Participation of the Platinum Power Boat Experience may involve strenuous physical activity, flashing lights and cold water. The Organisers cannot guarantee the tidal conditions and participants may encounter some bumpy or uneven tidal conditions during the experience.

  • No animals are permitted in the Platinum Lounge or on any of the boats used for the Platinum Power Boat Experience.

  • No alcohol is to be taken or consumed during the Power Boat Experience or consumed in excess prior to boarding the Power Boat Experience. Due to the danger caused by people under the influence of alcohol or drugs to other guests and our crew we will not admit anyone we suspect to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

  • All Participants must wear suitable footwear during the Platinum Power Boat Experience; meaning flat, soft soled, non-marking shoes or trainers.

  • All damage to property, accidents and injuries incurred at the Show must be reported to the Organiser immediately in accordance with Show Health and Safety procedures.

  • Except for any liability for: (i) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; or (ii)  fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (iii) any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law; we the Organiser, our Members, staff, agents or representatives will not be liable, whether in contract, tort (including but not limited to negligence or breach of statutory duty) for any damage to property, accidents or injuries incurred at the Show.

  • The Organiser reserves the right to defer, rearrange, amend or cancel the Power Boat Experience at any time. If for any reason beyond our reasonable control we cannot offer you the Platinum Power Boat Experience at the time or date specified, we will endeavour to offer you a suitable alternative time within the duration of the Show; no refunds are available.

  • The Organiser reserves the right at all times to refuse or restrict the use of any facilities and to eject any person refusing to comply with these conditions, or who the Organiser reasonably believes behaves inappropriately in any way, causes damage or annoyance to any other persons or property.

 

WHITBREAD EXPERIENCE TICKET

  • The purchase of a Whitbread Experience is subject to Terms and Conditions for General Ticket Purchases and the Whitbread Experience Participation Form; both of which must be validly submitted on the time and date of attendance to gain access.
  • The Whitbread Experience ticket shall be valid for one person only and shall only be redeemable on the time and date booked; as indicated on the printed ticket issued by the Organiser or their authorised agents ’SEE Tickets’. 
  • The purchase of a Whitbread Experience ticket entitles the purchaser to undertake the Whitbread Experience during the Show as an upgrade to the standard Show ticket only. Purchase of this ticket does not constitute entry to the Show; a Show entry ticket must also be purchased
  • Each Whitbread Experience Ticket permits one person onto the Experience at the pre-booked time and date; no concessions are available and children must hold a valid ticket. Children under the age of 16 are not permitted on the Whitbread Experience. All children aged 16-18 years must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Please note that boarding the boat may require using steps. Should you have any difficulty please inform us preferably prior to booking your Experience or prior to arrival so that we can make alternative arrangements if possible.   • All participants of the Whitbread Experience must wear a properly fitted flotation device or buoyancy aid and comply with any advice or direction from the Organiser or their staff, agents or representatives at all times whilst undertaking the Whitbread Experience.
  • It is the obligation of the Participants of the Whitbread Experience to notify the Organisers at the time of booking and upon boarding the Experience of any medical condition that in the participants opinion may preclude them or present a risk in them by taking part in, e.g. advanced pregnancy, back complaints, heart conditions etc. The Organiser reserves the right to refuse any booking or access to the Experience on medical grounds.
  • Participation of the Whitbread Experience may involve strenuous physical activity, flashing lights and cold water. The Organisers cannot guarantee the tidal conditions and participants may encounter some bumpy or uneven tidal conditions during the experience.
  • No animals are permitted on the boat used for the Whitbread Experience.

SILVER TICKET

  • The terms and conditions for General Ticket Purchases apply - see above.
  • Each Silver Ticket permits one person entry to the Show; no concessions are available and children must hold a valid Silver ticket.
  • The Silver ticket is available any one day from Friday 14 to Sunday 23 September.

CHAMPAGNE TICKET

  • The terms and conditions for General Ticket Purchases apply - see above. 
  • The purchase of a Champagne Ticket is subject to Terms and Conditions for General Ticket Purchases  
  • No concessions or group tickets available on this offer.  
  • The Champagne Ticket includes entry to the Show and one glass of champagne per ticket per holder. Alcohol is only served to those aged 18 years and over.
  • Up to two children 15 years and under can go free with this ticket, however they will not receive a drinks voucher. 
  • To get your glass of champagne you must redeem your voucher in the Champagne Bar.
  • The Champagne ticket is valid any one day from Saturday 15 to Sunday 23 September.

 

'BEST DRESSED LADY' COMPETITION - THURSDAY 20 SEPTEMBER

  • The terms and conditions for General Ticket Purchases apply - see above. 
  • Ladies day 'Best Dessed Lady' competition Thursday 20 September.
  • The Southern Daily Echo may publish photos taken during the course of the day. If you do not wish to enter the competition please let the judging panel know if they approach you.
  • The  winners will be announced on Ladies Day Thursday 20 September 2012.
  • The judges decision is final and no correspondance will be entered in to.
  • Where prizes are provided by a third party then the winner(s) will be required to complete all appropriate or applicable booking or other formalities direct with such provider. National Boat Shows Ltd will have no responsibility for the acts or defaults of any other persons.

 

EXHIBITOR Ticket OFFER

  • The terms and conditions for General Ticket Purchases apply - see above.   
  • The offer is limited in the number of tickets on reserve for this particular code. Initially 3000 tickets have been placed on reserve for this code.
  • National Boat Shows reserves the right to increase or decrease this number. This offer is for an any day ticket valid from 14th - 23rd September 2012 inclusive.
  • This offer does not include premium tickets such as Platinum, Champagne, Whitbread, Silver or Concessions. 
  • Kids go free promotion applies to this ticket.

TICKET FOR forces

  • Available to current or former personnel serving in Her Majesties Armed Forces (Royal Navy, Army & Royal Air Force).
  • General terms and conditions apply to this promotion see above
  • £12.00 on the door only promotion only. Normal gate price is £20.00
  • This special ticket offer applies to Standard Adult tickets only and excludes Public Preview Day 14th September 2012 and all other ticket types.
  • Ticket offer is restricted to one personnel as described above and one other accompanying adult. Any addition tickets will need to be purchased at the full gate price of £20
  • Ticket(s) are only valid between Saturday 15 September - Sunday 23 September 2012
  • Tickets Cannot be purchased in advance
  • Proof of current or previous service identity must be shown at cashier desk upon arrival in the form of an ID card
