on the water presents... Try A Boat
Your chance to get on the water and experience the thrill of
boating
The best way to get spectacular views of the Show and to get out
on the water this September is with Try-A-Boat. The Shows signature
feature is free to Show visitors and open to people of all
ages (children must be over 8 and accompanied by an adult) on
a first-come-first-served basis.
The wide selection of boats includes the latest RIBs (Rigid
Inflatable Boats) powerboats and sailing yachts allowing for
everyone to try something.
All the boats are skippered by qualified instructors, who will
provide you with a lifejacket and a short safety briefing before
you head off. Depending on weather and tides each trip can be
between 30 minutes and an hour. To book your place, head to the
Try-A-Boat Booking Point (stand A140), book a time slot and
complete a short safety form.
On The Water
On The Water is a British Marine Federation (BMF) project that
aims to help new and potential boaters explore the joys and wealth
of benefits that boating offers.
