The 2.4m Paralympic Class - One Person Keelboat - Open

The 2.4 Metre, which originated in Stockholm in 1983, is an ideal craft for disabled sailors. In the 2.4m, the helmsperson sits down into the boat facing forward with all the trim controls within arms’ reach.

Because the crew weight is always close to its centre of gravity, the 2.4m is insensitive to differences in the size of the helmsperson. Instead, 2.4m racing focuses on sophisticated sail trim, tactics and strategy.
