Ali Young’s club Trimpley SC show huge support at her first Olympic Games

Members of Trimpley SC travelled 140 miles yesterday to show their support for Ali Young on the day of her medal race

Ali grew up in Bewdley in Worcester and has been sailing all her life as part of her club Trimpley SC. She already has one eye on Rio 2016 after admitting her first Olympics had been a “great experience” after completing her London 2012 regatta in a hugely creditable fifth place. Debutant Ali came fourth in yesterday’s Laser Radial medal race.
