There are just two more weeks to go until the final monthly winner of theRYA’s ilovesailing Facebook photo and video competition is to be announced clinching the final spot in the ilovesailing grand final. So get your entries in now!
“Each month, between January and August 2012, we have been choosing a winning photo or video from entries posted on the ilovesailing Facebook page that celebrate what we love about sailing and windsurfing. These monthly winners then go through to the ilovesailing grand final to be held at the PSP Southampton Boat Show (Saturday 22 September).
“We’ve had some fantastic entries and have a strong line-up for the final already but there is still one spot left in the final”, explained ilovesailing manager, Graham Manchester.
There is an amazing, money can’t buy prize package up for grabs for the overall winner which includes:
- A Neilson sailing holiday
- A day of personal coaching with a top sailing or windsurfing coach,
- An ilovesailing directors chair signed by TeamGB 2012 sailors Ilovesailing ducks signed by TeamGB sailors
- And a whole host of other goodies that have been collected throughout the months leading up to the grand final…
Each of the monthly winners also receive an HD Go-Pro Surf Hero camera courtesy of Action Cameras and an ilovesailing duck, which has become much sort after in the sailing community this year, with a duck also going to the monthly runner up.
Our July winner who will join the other finalists at the Southampton Boat Show is David Ayre who posted a great montage image of his family and the different aspects of sailing they do. July’s runner up was Alison Miles for her video taken at Teign Corinthian Yacht Club.
“The entries just keep coming and every one we see is fantastic, making our job to choose one winner each month very difficult indeed.
“It’s great to see so many people getting involved and sharing their photos and videos with us. We look forward to flurry of entries in these closing days of the competition and look forward to seeing who claims the overall winner’s prize in September”, explained Graham.
Open to everyone, all you need to do to take part is ‘like’ the ilovesailing Facebook page www.facebook.com/RYAILoveSailing, start posting your favourite sailing and windsurfing photos and videos and you could be in with a chance of winning. It’s that easy.
Each week you’ll also find different activities to enjoy on the page including caption competitions, opinion polls and more. Get involved and you could become the proud owner of your very own ilovesailing duck!
