Welcome to the November issue of Cruising News
In this issue RYA Cruising Manager, Stuart Carruthers, advises us on storage of fuel containing biodiesel during the winter months.
While the recommendations for MCZs are being considered by Natural England and the JNCC, the RYA is responding to the public consultation on a possible Studland-Portland Special Area of Conservation. We also report on our challenge to a proposed restriction on anchoring in Strangford Lough.
We update you on the transition to a new waterways charity - The Canal and River Trust.
Competitive? My father was not a racing man...until another boat started to outpace him, and then the race was on! Read the first of our new series on cruiser racing and learn how you can get involved.
And Simon Jinks talks flaking and chain brakes.
As always, thank you for your emails, a selection of which you can read in Dear Editor.
