Team15 Inter-Club: Online Registration 2012

To save time on the day, entry for the 2012 T15 inter-club series has moved to an online system. You are encouraged to register as soon as possible for the next event in your series, since registration will close the Tuesday evening before the event.

Once you have registered once, the system will remember your details for subsequent events, which can then be reviewed and updated if needed.

How to register online in advance

  • To register, please click on the appropriate zone page  for your club (listed on the left) and follow the link to register.

If you miss the deadline for online entries

  • If you don't manage to register online before the entry closes, you can still register on the day.
  • You will have to complete a paper form at the event.
  • To save time on the day, you can download this now (part 1 and part 2), complete, print off and hand in to registration when you arrive at the event (see downloads on the right for both forms)
  • To save having to do this at every inter-club event, we recommend you register online ahead of the next event.

Could you be a Team15 PRO?

What is a Team15 PRO? Well, the PRO bit stands for Press Relations Officer, so if you are good at writing, or plan to take media studies at school or college, this role could be ideal for you...and it will look good on your school CV too!

In 2012 we're changing the way we report on T15 inter-club events. To ensure we get good coverage for your club - and from the club angle - we need to find a T15 PRO in each Team15 club. You may be participating in the event yourself, or you may be attending simply to cheer your team on, either way, you could nominate yourself as your T15 Club PRO

So what's involved?

  • Nominate yourself as your club T15 PRO. Please email: Susie.NationGrainger@rya.org.uk
  • You would then need to download the T15 PRO Media Form (on the right in downloads) and complete this electronically following each event.
  • Send your completed form to the T15 Press Office by the Monday evening following each T15 inter-club event:
    Susie.NationGrainger@rya.org.uk

Without a T15 Club PRO, your club could be missing out on local and regional publicity, so we would encourage you to sign up today!

UKWA Regional Series - Join in the action!

Continue to improve and develop your competition skills by taking part in your local UKWA series. These events are great fun and open to all T15 inter-club sailors, as well as parents and older sailors, so why not attend as a club or as a small group?

For 2012, some of UKWA regional series events are also being offered as a 'coached event' opportunity, so there will be coaches on hand to give you some top tips. These local events are an excellent way to try racing for the first time (especially if you are too old for the Team15 programme), but are also ideal for Team15 sailors and existing club racers to get even more racing time on the water and have fun in the process.

There is a wide variety of standards at every event, from national champions to first timers so there's always someone to compete with.

There are 4 regional series; where's your nearest?

For further details about each series and the events planned, click on the regional links above or visit the UKWA website

RYA Volvo Zone Championships 2012

These Championships are the next stage for all Team15 Inter-Club sailors and take place over the weekend of 29/30 September 2012 at various venues around the UK.

If you take part in your inter-club series then you really should be attending these. With coaching opportunities available throughout the championships, you'll have a great time and learn loads too! The championships combine with dingy sailing classes to offer a weekend of excellent racing. Windsurfers will compete in four classes: 4.5m open, 5.8m open, Bic Techno 6.8m, and Techno 7.8m.

  • Suitable for all T15 Sailors, who participate in the inter-club challenges
  • Compulsory for anyone wanting a place in their RYA Zone Squad
  • Whether part of a Team15 club or not, if you are interested in competitive windsurfing and are aged 16 on the 31st December 2012, then put the date in your diary.

Registration will be available online at: www.ryaracingevents.org.uk
