Account Manager, German

The Account Manager for Facebook’s Mid- Market Sales team will have an outstanding opportunity to build partnerships, provide leadership and business insight, and deliver on strategic initiatives to some of the market’s largest brand and direct response focused agencies. With proven understanding of both online and traditional media, this role is responsible for partnering with the sales team to develop industry-specific marketing relationships and drive revenue by negotiating and optimizing complex opportunities. The Account Manager will establish, own and manage an expanding portfolio of clients & revenue focusing on driving revenue, client education & satisfaction. Success in this position requires strong consultative sales and analytical skills, a focus on client service, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-focused environment delivering against tight deadlines. This position is based in Facebook Headquarters Dublin for EMEA.

Responsibilities

  • Grow revenue and track retention of managed accounts and agencies
  • Partner with sales/business development teams to drive critical advertising initiatives through to delivery
  • Drive strategic marketing conversations with brand and direct-response focused marketers and support clients on implementation of new tools and products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to scope out business opportunities and to deliver results (i.e. facilitating plans & recommendations from such teams as product, marketing and customer solutions through to implementation)
  • Helping to drive team strategy, continuous improvement & knowledge sharing initiatives. Identify trends to enhance the customer support process and improve team efficiency
  • Set and maintain goals with clients and sellers for all Facebook advertising objectives (brand, audience and performance)
  • Optimize campaigns to meet client objectives
  • Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders, including the ability to synthesize feedback and adjust plans accordingly
  • Operate as the lead point of contact for any & all matters specific to your clients, including escalation and troubleshooting to resolve client issues
  • Gather client feedback to enhance ad products and the customer experience

Requirements

  • BA or BS degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience working directly with traditional (above-the-line, below-the-line, or both) and new media agencies and/or advertisers (media planning/buying experience preferable)
  • Fluent German & English
  • Established relationships with key customers in Retail, CPG, Technology & Telecommunications, Travel, Local, Entertainment industries a plus
  • Ability to structure, negotiate, and maintain significant and complex strategic relationships (financial modeling and analysis and familiarity with advertising terms & conditions preferable)
  • Track record in delivering on revenue targets and formulating account strategies to achieve same
  • Exceptional client management, communication and presentation skills (both written & verbal) at all levels of an organization and / or at external speaker events
  • Strong team working skills, ability to adapt to fast-paced, international work environment with a passion for making an impact
  • High level of comfort presenting key client issues in an effort to be the customer advocate within Facebook
  • Identify and leverage trends within industry of expertise/focus
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical skills with an entrepreneurial mindset preferred
  • Limited travel may be required
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time, even under high-pressure situations
