      Olympics 2012 - Finn Sailing: So did Ben hit the Mark? A photographer friend on a press boat was very near and says that he certainly did not... Jonas and Postma claimed he did. So Ben naturally took the penalty to avoid a later protest which certainly makes sense... Jonas stated that he must have hit it because he took a penalty. No he must have hit it if you actually saw him hit it! Very suspicious phraseology... I think I and many others have now lost respect for 2 certain individuals! Maybe they should take up Badminton... Totally unacceptable behaviour to me...

    Ben Ainslie and the British Star pairing of Iain Percy and Andrew Simpson, manoeuvred themselves to within striking distance of gold, as they head into Sunday’s showdown medal races following a thrilling day at Weymouth and Portland today.

    Goodison Refuses To Give Up the Fight

    Brave Paul Goodison has vowed to keep pushing to the end as his Olympic Laser class campaign was once again affected by a continuing back problem at Weymouth and Portland today.

    Goodison has been having treatment on the injury all week and had hoped a rest day for the Lasers yesterday may have given him a bit of respite and recovery time.

    Luke and Stuart Keep Up Early Charge

    Luke Patience and Stuart Bithell continue to set the pace in the Men’s 470 class after another confident display on day six of the Olympic Sailing Regatta today.

    The duo consolidated their lead at the top of the scorecard with a fourth and second place today moving them six points clear of the three-time World Champions, and pre-event favourites, Mathew Belcher and Malcolm Page (AUS).

    Bronze Secured but Star Boys Now Eye Gold

    Defending champions, Iain Percy and Andrew Simpson, are guaranteed at least a bronze medal in the Star class but left themselves in a perfect position to once again claim Olympic gold after another masterful performance at the London 2012 Sailing Regatta at Weymouth and Portland today.
