West of England ARA Championships

Running throughout the day on Thursday, the West of England Amateur Rowing Association (WEARA) championships are held annually at the Port of Dartmouth Regatta.

Organised by Dartmouth Amateur Rowing Club, crews come from all over the country to compete in one of the largest Regatta programmes in the rowing diary.

Start lines are from above the Higher Ferry to the finish line opposite the Dartmouth Yacht Club and the races can be viewed from vantage points along the North and South Embankments.

Trophies for the events will be presented at the Bandstand, Royal Avenue Gardens at the conclusion of the day’s racing.
