The Regatta Shopping Village, situated in the main marquee on Coronation Park is packed with stalls of every sort, perfect for browsing or for stocking up on supplies from some of the fantastic array of food and drink standholders.
This year’s marquee is operated directly by the Regatta committee, with the assistance of the team at Ozzie Marquees, a move that will make a difference to the Regatta finances.
If you are looking for a special memento of your visit, or even just wish to spend a couple of hours idly browsing, the Shopping Village is an ideal destination offering as it does one of the South West’s widest selections of art, crafts, food and drink under canvas. Many of the producers and exhibitors operate a “Buy now-Collect later” scheme so that you don’t have to carry your purchases around with you all day.
The main Marquee area is focused on Arts and Crafts exhibitors providingall sorts of different wares including jewellery, textiles, pottery, art, wood, toys and games, soaps and skincare, adults and children’s clothing, men’s and women’s shoes, original photographic art, hats, silverwork and much, much more.
In the Food and Drink you will find local suppliers offering wonderful fresh produce including local cider, cheeses, wines, strawberries, scrumptious cakes and pastries, a stunning chocolate fountain, hot roasted nuts, pickles and preserves, olives, meats and sausages.
China Blue, one of our major sponsors at this year’s Regatta, will be taking a large area of the Marquee and visitors are welcome to have a go at decorating their own chinaware.
In the outside Food Court alongside the main marquee, some of the ready-to eat locally produced food available includes; juicy lamb wraps, sizzling pork rolls from a hog-roast, delicious fresh pasties and a large café area where you can sit and soak up the unique Regatta atmosphere.
All of this makes the Shopping Village a must-visit destination on your trip to Dartmouth during the Royal Regatta.
