Hi Mark - Konova. Made in Korea, not hugely expensive, heavy but very smooth.

I think this is beautifully shot and incredibly well paced. The sense of place you've captured is tangible, and imho the music plays a huge part in all of that.

Too sombre? Too melancholic? Naw. Just right.

Places like this are fragile, they're on the edge of most people's consciousness, and I could not watch this and hear that haunting music without almost crying. I was reminded of Valdez and the disaster that tore at the lives of people like Wade Bush the fisherman, and the effect it had on the whole ecosystem that supports them. They might be on the edge of our consciousness, but when our fish dinners disappear we certainly sit up and take notice.

I was born and raised in a rural west coast location, closely tied to the ocean, and this elegant piece captures the spirit of such locations. These special places are defined not just by what they are, but by what the people who live there feel about them.

I think you captured a sense of that magic very eloquently. Good work sir!
