Bow Creek
A fiercely tidal navigation linking the River Lee to the River Thames, Bow Creek is a challenge for experienced boaters.
Bow Locks connect the River Lee with Bow Creek. However, most narrowboats prefer to make the journey via Limehouse Cut. Walkers and cyclists should be aware that the towpath is prone to flooding – making this short waterway a little hard to explore.
In contrast, Bow Creek Ecology Park is easily accessible, open every day of the week and boasting a series of ponds, ditches and reed beds which are home to a wealth of wildlife.
