- #bdcc All boats have completed their first leg - first boats at the gate were Baraka, closely shadowed by Keronimo, Magnum and Signal 8. It took no more than 5 minutes from first to last!
- #bdcc Racing is tight - the boats are running downwind in packs of 3 and 4 - nobody is able to simply gybe whenever they want. Everybody is trying really hard to get out of the tide since there are only about 7 to 8 knots of breeze. Just a few minutes to the first gate rounding now - I'll better go out and recordmark roundings.
- Day 1 of the Brewin Dolphin Commodores' Cup - the fleet have started Race 1, a windward leeward course with laid marks. The wind is 10 knots from the South East with the sun shining over the Solent. Live posts and tweets coming from the race course. #bdcc

- #bdcc The first race of this year's Brewin Dolphin Commodores' Cup is underway. Reporting live from the pin end, the winners of the start were Magnum with Joopster and EFG Bank Mandrake in close tow. Right now, the fleet is round the first windward mark and we're waiting for them at the gate mark. To be continued...

With racing due to get underway at the Brewin Dolphin Commodores’ Cup this Sunday, 22nd July, the 21 boats competing are making their final preparations for the pinnacle event of the Royal Ocean Racing Club’s 2012 calendar.
A crucial eleme...nt a team considers in planning for any regatta is anticipation of the weather, but the latest forecast is indicating conditions next week far from what teams have been expecting. After the wettest June in the UK since records began more than 100 years ago, and an equally rainy July, this weekend the weather looks set to break finally, and summer may begin. This change looks set to coincide exactly with the start of racing at the Brewin Dolphin Commodores’ Cup.See More- Book your tickets for the RORC Annual Cowes Cocktail Party by emailing membership@rorc.org.uk or call 0044 (0) 207 493 2248.
