RYA Events Appointments 

Race officials are appointed to some major events in the UK with the RYA as the organising authority.  The officials are selected by the Events Appointment Panel.

Events Appointment Panel

The objectives of the panel are:

• To select and promote the appointment of appropriately experienced individuals to the Organising Authority of RYA Racing Events, other events supported by UK Sport funding or events that have been referred to the panel.
• the panel is primarily concerned with events where the RYA has:
  • financial responsibility
  • responsibility to appoint the Race Officials (sometimes in conjunction with a class association)
  • a choice of venue (sometimes in conjunction with a class association)
  • fleet racing

The Panel is made up as follows:
