Course overview
This course is recommended as preparation for the Yachtmaster Ocean Oral examination which will cover aspects of celestial navigation, theory and practice, passage planning, seamanship and worldwide meteorology.

Duration:
At the exam you will be required to produce records of a voyage of minimum 600 miles, 200 miles of which were more than 50 miles from land on which you took an active part in the safe navigation and planning. In addition records of sights including as a minimum, sun-run-sun and compass error.

Examination and assessment:
The oral examination is approximately of one hour duration. Examinations are arranged by UKSA.
