Stephen L. Reeves (January 21, 1926 – May 1, 2000) was an American bodybuilder and actor. At the peak of his career, he was the highest-paid actor in Europe.
Born in Glasgow, Montana, Reeves moved to California at age 10 with his mother Goldie Reeves, after his father Lester Dell Reeves died in a farming accident. Reeves developed an interest in bodybuilding in Castlemont High School and trained at Ed Yarick's gym in Oakland. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Army during World War II, and served in the Philippines.
After his military service and winning the 1947 AAU Mr. America, Reeves became interested in pursuing an acting career. He studied acting under Stella Adler but after arguments was refunded his tuition. He was selected by Cecil B. DeMille for the lead role in his Samson and Delilah, where he received extensive training. In order to look convincing on-camera, he was told to lose 15 pounds as the camera added weight, but turned the movie offer down because he could not compete in bodybuilding with the diminished weight.
Prof. Steve Reeves is a computer scientist based at the University of Waikato in New Zealand. He is the Associate Dean and the Programme Co-ordinator of Software Engineering. He has undertaken research work on the Z notation, formal methods for GUI design and a general theory of refinement.
Steve Reeves' academic work is in the area of formal methods to aid software engineering. In particular, he has undertaken research into the design and use of logics for specification. With Prof. Martin Henson, he has studied the formal semantics of the Z notation in detail, in relation to the international ISO standard for Z.
Reeves has delivered talks internationally, including as the opening talk in the BCS-FACS seminar series at the British Computer Society in London in 2005.
Steve Reeves is currently Chair of the Z User Group, and the New Zealand member of the Australasian Software Engineering Conference (ASWEC) Steering Committee. He is a Fellow of the British Computer Society, a Fellow of the New Zealand Computer Society (now renamed the Institute of IT Professionals), and is an IT Certified Professional (ITCP).

Plot: A studio script screener gets on the bad side of a writer by not accepting his script. The writer is sending him threatening postcards. The screener tries to identify the writer in order to pay him off so he'll be left alone, and then in a case of mistaken identity gone awry, he accidentally gives the writer solid ammunition for blackmail. This plot is written on a backdrop of sleazy Hollywood deals and several subplots involving the politics of the industry.

Plot: Young Danny leads an Army detail into a trap enabling his brother Steve and his gang to capture their load of gattling guns. Tim and Chito capture the brothers but don't find the guns. Tim takes over care of the boy hoping he will lead a new life and tell where the guns are located. Just when is appears to be working, Tim learns Danny has helped his brother escape.
