Diana Ernestine Earle Ross (born March 26, 1944) is an American singer, songwriter, actress and record producer. Born and raised in Detroit, she rose to fame as a founding member and lead singer of the vocal group The Supremes, which, during the 1960s, became Motown's most successful act and is to this day America's most successful vocal group as well as one of the world's best-selling girl groups of all time. As part of the Supremes, Ross most notably rivaled the career of The Beatles in worldwide popularity, and her success made it possible for future African American R&B and soul acts to find mainstream success. The group set a record scoring twelve number-one hit singles on the Billboard Hot 100 including the hits "Where Did Our Love Go", "Baby Love", "Come See About Me", "Stop! In the Name of Love", "You Can't Hurry Love", "You Keep Me Hangin' On", "Love Child" and "Someday We'll Be Together".
Following her departure from the Supremes in 1970, Ross released her debut solo album, Diana Ross, which contained the hits "Reach Out and Touch (Somebody's Hand)" and the number-one hit "Ain't No Mountain High Enough". She released the album Touch Me in the Morning in 1973. Its title track reached number 1, becoming her second solo hit. By 1975, the Mahogany soundtrack included her 3rd number-one hit "Theme from Mahogany (Do You Know Where You're Going To)". Her 1976 album Diana Ross included her fourth number-one hit "Love Hangover". In 1979, Ross released the album The Boss. Her 1980 album Diana which reached number 2 on the Billboard albums chart and spawned the number-one hit "Upside Down" and the international hit "I'm Coming Out". After leaving Motown, Ross achieved her sixth and final number-one hit with the duet "Endless Love".
Diana Patience Beverly Ross (8 July 1910 – 4 May 2000), relative of Robert Ross, was an English children's author and occasional and longtime resident of Shaw, near Melksham, in Wiltshire. A graduate of the Central School of Art in London, she also worked on sculpture and graphic arts and illustrated several of her own books under the name of her cat, Gri.
In her early twenties, Ross worked at the Grenfell Mission orphanage in St. Anthony and would later help Wilfred Grenfell to research his history, The Romance of Labrador, as well as, without credit, drawing the book's illustrations.
Beginning with The Little Red Engine Gets a Name (1942), followed by The Story of the Little Red Engine (1945) (ISBN 0-233-00147-6) and seven more volumes, Ross created a series of picture books which followed the adventures of the same character. Jan Lewitt and George Him provided the illustrations for the first volume and Leslie Wood its sequels.
Ross had several of her short works read alone for BBC radio broadcasts for children and wrote several volumes of modern fairy tales for older children. Ross also had an un-credited part in the creation of the BBC children's television series Camberwick Green.
Diana Ross (later reissued rarely as Ain't No Mountain High Enough) was the debut solo album for Diana Ross. It reached #19 in the USA (#1 R&B) and sold over 500,000 copies.
The album was the ultimate test to see if the former Supremes frontwoman could make it as a solo act. With the help of the songwriting-producing team of Nickolas Ashford & Valerie Simpson, Ross turned out a successful album. Ross did extensive work with other producers before settling with Ashford & Simpson, including Johnny Bristol, producer of her final single with The Supremes, "Someday We'll Be Together". Bristol here produces "These Things Will Keep Me Loving You"; the rest of the LP is fully written and produced by Ashford & Simpson.
Ross' first solo single, "Reach Out and Touch (Somebody's Hand)", sold over 500,000 copies in the USA, was something of a disappointment when it charted at number 20 on the Billboard Hot 100. Its follow-up, a cover of Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell's "Ain't No Mountain High Enough", peaked at (#1) number one on the Hot 100, selling approximately 1,245,000 copies in the USA only and garnering a Grammy nomination for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. As a result of the single's success, Diana Ross was reissued as Ain't No Mountain High Enough, and another Ross solo LP (her 1976 LP featuring "Love Hangover") would be issued as an eponymous release.
Negative equity occurs when the value of an asset used to secure a loan is less than the outstanding balance on the loan. In the United States, assets (particularly real estate, whose loans are mortgages) with negative equity are often referred to as being "underwater", and loans and borrowers with negative equity are said to be "upside down".
People (and companies) may also have negative equity, as reflected on their balance sheets.
In the owner-occupied housing market, a fall in the market value of a mortgaged house or apartment/flat is the usual cause of negative equity. It may occur when the property owner obtains second-mortgage home-equity loans, causing the combined loans to exceed the home value, or simply because the original mortgage was too generous. If the borrower defaults, repossession and sale of the property by the lender will not raise enough cash to repay the amount outstanding, and the borrower will still be in debt as well as having lost the property. Some US states like California require lenders to choose between going after the borrower or taking repossession, but not both.
Inverted question (¿) and exclamation (¡) marks are punctuation marks used to begin interrogative and exclamatory sentences (or clauses), respectively, in written Spanish and sometimes also in languages which have cultural ties with Spanish, such as in older standards of Galician (now it is optional and not recommended), Catalan, or Waray-Waray. They can also be combined in several ways to express the combination of a question and surprise or disbelief. The initial marks are normally mirrored at the end of the sentence or clause by the common marks (?, !) used in most other languages. Unlike the ending marks, which are printed along the baseline of a sentence, the inverted marks (¿ and ¡) actually descend below the line.
Inverted marks were originally recommended by the Real Academia Española (Spanish Royal Academy) in 1754, and adopted gradually over the next century.
On computers, inverted marks are supported by various standards, including ISO-8859-1, Unicode, and HTML. They can be entered directly on keyboards designed for Spanish-speaking countries, or via alternative methods on other keyboards.

"Upside Down" was a stunning 1980 comeback for both Diana Ross and the men of Chic, Bernard Edwards and Nile Rodgers. Diana previous #1 was 1976's "Love Hangover". Chic's last #1 was 1979's "Good Times" but their sound lived on when they produced other artists. "Upside Down" spent four weeks at #1 on the Hot100 and R&B; surveys, and five weeks at the top of the Disco/Dance chart. This song was everywhere, but I remember hearing "I'm Coming Out" in the spring a few times on the radio way before I heard "Upside Down". It was pure Chic! Diana was right to push her vocals out front, contrary to what the Rodgers/Edwards had originally submitted to her. She knew where her zone is and she keeps it razor sharp, saying she "did not want to sound like a guest on a Chic album." That is one time she m...

Go with what I've sent you... Someone to love
Heaven must have sent you to me
And I'm not gonna let you go back
I'm gonna love you till the stars don't shine
And angels start dressing in black
I wanna shout "Hallelujah"
Oh, heart I've finally fooled ya
Somebody strike up the band
I've got a good, good feeling
Doobedood'ndoo doobedood'ndoobe doobedood'ndoo
Oh, doobedood'ndoobe doobedood'ndoobe doobedood'ndoo
Oh, doobedood'ndoobe doobedood'ndoobe doobedood'ndoo
I love you, yes I do
Doobedood'ndoo
I just started living
The day you started giving your love to me
And now music feels my soul
It sounds just like a rock 'n' roll symphony
Listen to the music in my soul
Ahhhh...
I see words inside your eyes
They beg me not to leave
Could it be we might have passed
On the same road to loneliness
Let us put bad memories
Of our past up on the shelf
(And leave it there forever)
And give ourselves a second chance
To enjoy love's priceless wealth
Don't it make you wanna shout "Hallelujah"
When you're feeling love go through ya
Somebody strike up the band
Here it comes again
Doobedood'ndoo doobedood'ndoobe doobedood'ndoo
Oh, doobedood'ndoobe doobedood'ndoobe doobedood'ndoo
Oh, doobedood'ndoo doobedood'ndoobe doobedood'ndoo
