Favorite bakery pizza in Rhode Island? (Red pizza, "pizza strips" from old school bakeries preferable) Favorite bakery pizza in Rhode Island? (Red pizza, "pizza strips" from old school bakeries preferable)
Discussion

I grew up with bakery pizza around Boston in the 80s and 90s, however the kind with cheese. It was some of the best pizza in the world.

I've been more inclined to "red pizza" the past years as I notice cheese hasn't been siting too well with me like it used to.

I was happy to find out Providence is big on "red pizza" or pizza strips as I found out they're called. Providence and South Philadelphia are the only 2 places that I know of where this style of red square is popular (for South Philly, my favorite is Sarcone's).

What is your list (in order) of favorite red pizza in R.I.?

Best Italian Market for raviolis Best Italian Market for raviolis
Discussion

My twin and I are coming to RI for a nostalgia tour. We left in 1978 and although I’ve been back, my twin has not. I was already sad to see that Solitro’s bakery has closed and that was a place we definitely wanted to go to. I remember my mom (who passed away last year) used to buy raviolis on Federal Hill back in the day. I was just a kid so I didn’t pay attention to where it was or the name. So asking for recommendations for great markets where we could by raviolis and sauce for old time’s sake.

Best way to get to Logan from PVD Best way to get to Logan from PVD
Question / Suggestion

I am picking up family members from Logan and tbh I haven’t driven there in 5 years. I am so worried about the traffic condition and the logistics of coming and going. I don’t drive a lot and barely leaves the state. Last time I drove there, I missed the exit and my car GPS kept making me loop due to not recognizing the new traffic flow.

Any guidance to make it easy for this anxious driver would help. Thanks!

Car insurance goes up every 6 months. Anyone else? Car insurance goes up every 6 months. Anyone else?
Question / Suggestion

Progressive Insurance. 30 M living in Western RI.

No accidents or tickets ever (knock on wood). No claims ever. Insured and licensed since 16.

Currently paying $130/mo, which was an increase from $122 last period. Switched from Geico to Progressive in 2021. When I switched, my rate was just $66/mo. It's more than doubled in three years despite nothing changing except for the kind of car I drive (from a Toyota RAV4 to a Subaru Forester).

Anytime I run quotes, it's even more money than Progressive. Amica quoted me $240/mo (!!!). I do everything right by not driving like an idiot, but I still have to pay more and more every renewal period. Does everyone else have this issue?

Tattoo artist recommendation? Tattoo artist recommendation?
Question / Suggestion

Good afternoon! I’m reaching out for some recommendations for tattoo artists in Rhode Island (or if you have an awesome recommendation to a close state). I want someone who is really awesome with thick black tattoos (I’m not into color). I’m open to any style, my current tattoo artist is a great guy but some of his work recently has been coming out not so good on other people so I’m worried about future appts. Thanks so much 🖤

Constitutional Convention: Who’s calling for it and why? Constitutional Convention: Who’s calling for it and why?
Politics

I was reading through a voter information pamphlet and noticed the first question about a constitutional convention being called. I tried looking into it based on some online articles but there’s no explicit mention of who’s calling for one and why they want it beyond your standard politician talk of it being needed or what not.

I mean having one seems cool but it also seems out of the blue to call one since to my knowledge, there hasn’t been a major issue that would put us in need of a convention.

Anyone know who or why there’s a call for one? Or at least really streamline the reasoning without the political wording of the coalitions for/against it?

Edit: Answered.
