Was watching my old clips and remembered that map pools were a thing in the early OW2 seasons. Genuinely the worst change in OW history in my opinion and I am just so thankful that got rolled back, even if it did take months.
This is just a thread to appreciate how much worse the game used to be in the early days

Scott did a good job with balancing and with the vibes of each teams I'll just go through all the teams chemistry and my thoughts except Green Cyan and Pink as they are just a group of friends
Red: This team has good chemistry and clear comms and I thought this team was really fun to watch
Orange: ngl this is probably one of my favourite teams ever John Gem Janet trio I NEED again or at least a Gem Janet duo as they had good vibes they were so fun to watch if you haven't watched this team yet I would recommend this team and Purpled for in really well.
Yellow: From the practice streams you know this team would be a vibe so fun to watch as well they did really well and I hope they get the cyan 24 treatment and we get to see them again even thought they are on the stronger side.
Lime: Fein and hermits it's a vibe Tango did better than kick off which is lovely to see they did really good in tgttos shockingly great vibes.
Aqua: This team was a blast to watch I didn't know Tubbo threw stuff at Dave and I hope he got his passport back LOL besides that this was fun Sasha didn't get 40th which is nice to see she did hope that she would do better but any way Couri popped off top 10 which was nice to see.
Blue: this is the only team that I haven't watched yet but from the clips I saw it looked like they had a blast gluon was quiet at times but Dave Owen Beky is just a fun trio.
Purple: Even though they got last they had fun also it's not their bad they came last as the event was really op and no hate to Scott but that team was a bit weak from the start but they had a blast
These teams really worked well props to Scott for cooking and creating my new favourite trio (Gem John and Janet)

Personally, I would like to see a 2/3rd or at least 1/3rd rule implemented.
But another thing I think would work really well is to base the Import restriction on the amount of Major spots a region has. This would give the following rules:
1 Major spot region: 2/3 on a roster have to be native to the region they are playing in
2 Major spot region: 1/3 of a roster has to be native to the region they are playing in
4 Major spot region: no restrictions
This allows players to move to the Major regions without restrictions, but also stops the exploitation of developing regions through full import teams. So a team like complexity could play NA, but mobula could no longer play ssa.
I’ve heard an idea as well that if you play for 1 or 2 seasons in another region you become and count as a „native“ for that region (for example virt in apac). I think that works well with the idea above.
What are your guys thoughts on this?
