My bf is mad I'm teaching my 2 year old the proper words for her body parts

I'm struggling with a relationship issue regarding my toddler. Last week my, 27F boyfriend 29M of one and a half years walked in on me while I was trying to teach my baby girl (2 years 4 months) what the proper words were for her private parts. She already knows all the names for her non-private parts. My child is a bit more advanced verbally than other children her age at the daycare she goes to. I also work at. If I was able to teach her these words at an earlier age, I would have. I was in the middle of teaching her the word for "chest and vagina" and where they are located when he walked up to us and gave me a dirty look. I tried not to read too much into it because he walked up out of context. It's a week later and I asked him why it upset him so much, and he said "a two year old doesn't need to know those words, and she's too young"

I tried explaining that it's for her safety, she does need to know those words for the following reasons:

  1. Predators are deterred from children who know the proper terms for their body parts

  2. I share custody with her father so I can't always control who she is around

  3. If something were to ever happen to her, she could explain to me where/what happened He accused me of sexualizing my daughter, and out of anger, I accused him of the same for being upset that I was trying to explain her autonomy to her.

I am a victim of childhood abuse myself which I wasn't able to articulate because I didn’t know the words myself. Tried to explain that to him as well, and he dismissed me and gave no sympathy.

He said it was his opinion to be able to feel about it however he wishes, and I said it was mine too and he didn't need to belittle me to get his point across. He basically doubled down and said I had no right to teach my daughter her autonomy at her age.

For context: He is not the paternal father. He has never changed any of her diapers as l've never left them together long enough to warrant a diaper change. She loves him, and him her. He’s never changed anyone’s diaper and has expressed no desire to. I have told him that if we ever had a kid, he would have to learn to, and he did agree.

I tried explaining that it's for her safety, and unless you’re sexualizing her, that she has every right to know what her body parts are called. Literally every child who is able to speak or be verbal at the daycare (male or female) knows thyeir parts, why can’t mine?

He said that that was what elementary school and middle school classes were for and she could learn her body parts then… however I feel she needs to know them earlier because anything can happen as per my experience.

I’ve taken classes, spoken to officers, and listened to many true crime podcasts that confirm all this. Am I wrong for teaching my daughter the names of her private parts?

I can't get over what my spouse did.

I went on a work trip with my spouse. Last night happened to be the anniversary of our first date. It was a great night with great food and we laughed a lot. We came back to our hotel room and I had to use the bathroom.

Here's where it went sideways, fast. Without my knowledge, my spouse took a photo of me while I was trying to poop. Then texted me the photo. Which immediately upset me to the point I couldn't complete the act. I feel betrayed, humiliated, and embarrassed. The photo was horrible, as you can imagine. There's background that makes it so much worse. I grew up in houses with one bathroom and tons of siblings. I have what I can only describe as "poop shyness." I can't poop around other people, including my spouse. I lock the door at home and if anyone talks through the door it prevents me from going. I suffer irregular BMs and stomach pain. My spouse has learned over time that it's not funny to purposely knock and talk at me to tease me, because there are real consequences to that, which cause me pain.

Knowing all that...WTF?! How could they do that last night? I've been upset all night. I'm unable to look at or speak to them. I feel like they purposely hurt me, using my weakness, and that devastates me. I don't know if I can get over this.

Last night they said, "I'm sorry! Sorry, sorry, sorry! It's deleted, ok? Look, it's deleted! I'm sorry!"

AITA for pointing out to my BF that he can’t use Made in the USA on his product description video?

Context: 29F who is a paralegal; BF is 33M who runs his own business.

My BF comes into the room and says he needs help figuring out what to put in his new product videos that are only 15 seconds long.

He starts to explain what he wants to do and it becomes a bit of a rant, so I just listen until space is provided where I can give input.

Finally the time comes, and I let him know that I wouldn’t have it scroll through the colors that I would just put all color swatches on one screen because….

He cuts me off and doesn’t let me finish my point. I let this go. He starts ranting why my point is wrong (even though he didn’t even know what my point was going to be) and continues to rant about what he envisions. I listen carefully despite the disrespect.

He mentions that the last slide would say handmade in the USA.

I tell him in my normal conversation voice, “hey you can’t say that bc people could sue”

He proceeds to huff, change his tone, do a shrug and a hand throw gesture and tell me that “it doesn’t matter”

At this point, I’m irritated and switch to boss mode with my direct tone and say, “yes it does matter. I was literally paid to ensure things like that never happened when I worked in your industry.” (I worked 2 years in his industry when I first started out for the biggest producer in the US of his product)

He runs off and says, he doesn’t want to talk anymore.

Tells me that I’m being disrespectful, giving him “attitude,” and that I need to apologize—then starts the ignoring me by working game and shutting down my attempts at conflict resolution.

He clarifies and then says it doesn’t matter bc he’s just “story boarding” so I shouldn’t have pointed that out. He clearly “already knows this”

Meanwhile, he was just dinged two days ago for copyright infringement, and in my eyes, I had a duty to point out the mistake to ensure it doesn’t end up in a lawsuit.

He swears that the whole issue was my attitude when I pointed out that he said something wrong and “I just wanted to be right”

I’m adamant that the “attitude” he refers to which isn’t attitude at all IMO, didn’t start until he disrespected me multiple times and doubled down to tell me I’m wrong when I know I was right.

So am I actually an asshole? I’m of the mind that he started it with his poor attitude towards me pointing out a mistake and this is a big ego issue, but maybe I’m missing something.

He could have said yeah, I get ya, I know—just brainstorming, and moved on. He’s also adamant that I shouldn’t have even brought up that point bc “it wasn’t what he was asking” even though he was asking for my opinion.

Reddit, please help my sanity.

Were the 1990s Arkansas's apex mountain?

For a small state Arkansas really punched above it's weight in the 90s. In 1990 Walmart became the largest company in the world, native son Bill Clinton was elected president in 1992 and 1996, the Razorbacks win their only major sport (football, basketball, baseball) national title since integration, winning the 1994 NCAA Tournament, the Razorbacks also get out of a dying SWC where they were the longtime black sheep and get a spot in the SEC in 1992.

Outside the state Arkansans dominate the sports landscape with Jerry Jones buying the Cowboys and "making" them the dominant team of the decade with (you could include Texas native but Arkansas alum Jimmy Johnson in this as well) while Scottie Pippen becomes the greatest "Robin" in NBA history and wins 6 rings. In CFB Lawrence Phillips is the star player on the best CFB team of the decade winning two titles (and several felonies). Any other state have a random apex mountain?
