My key board burns through AAA batteries really fast. My buddy smokes those disposable vapes and I made the vape actually useful and my keyboard no longer burns batteries in a week and is rechargeable.

Instances of crazy fixes that actually ended up working. Or not working, I'm a description, not the cops.

Anyone else feel like access control is under regulated in the US?

I usually am the first to complain about the ridiculous requirements some states have to be able to pull a Cat cable. But since I started my own business, i routinely lose access control projects and hear about how someone came in at half my bid.

I consider my prices to be on the low end of market average. I charge less than all my partners in the area that share their pricing with me. The only way others are crushing my price is by throwing in an improperly installed maglock on every door. I flat out refuse to put a maglock on any door where another solution is possible.

Not to mention the service calls I get for access...it seems 50% of the mags i service are improperly wired and could easily fail to function properly in the event of an emergency.

Low Temp Charge Protection

What are you guys using for low temp solar charge protection on flat lipo batteries? I’m building some waterproof/snowproof nodes to put up in the Colorado rockies this winter and I’d like my batteries to last as long as possible.
