Winter House

I have started watching (and finished) Summer House earlier this year, the only edition I couldn't stomach to watch was Winter House season 3. A share house with post-divorce Tom Schwartz and CEO and founder Danielle was too much to bear. However, I really loved the two previous seasons of winter house, especially the lore that came from it. The iconic Paige/Andrea/Ciara/Austen hot tub make out scene, the VERY early days of Paige and Craig, drunk Lindsay professing her love for Austen after he told her he would date her while on shrooms, Lindsay and Carls uncomfortable 'couples' visit in season 2 and witnessing the fall out from Austen's infamous S6 visit to Summer house.

Taking into account the new and departed cast members from this season of Summer House and other bravo shows, who would be in your dream drafts pick for a new season of Winter House?

I am watching Summer House for the first time, and I am just about finished season 4. Man, it is wild and I am loving it!

Should I power through and watch all of Summer House, or do I break and add the Winter House seasons in at some point?

Omg after watching all of summer house and really liking Paige and Craig, I went to winter house. Saw things online about Craig but didn’t see it…until Winter House. The fits about not cleaning and leaving broken glass to snapping at people. This guy is legit a jerk. Please tell me he was just going through something and he gets better. Always noticed Paige didn’t help clean on Summer House too and it bothered me. Entitled people?

Maybe I'm crazy but I don't care what show she's on, I loved her energy and weirdness and how she owned her behaviour when she got called out for talking shit.

I want to see more of her and Brian. They were fun chemistry added to the regular slosh of dumb drama

I'm currently watching Summer House for the first time (on S03) and I am curious whether to watch all of SH, then all of Winter House.... or should Winter House be mixed in with Summer House?

Craig is such an ass. He is so entitled and so awful in this season. It makes me feel like this is the real him, and Paige told him to check the way he acts on tv, so now he's faking a persona. The real Craig tells people that he "pays people to do his cleaning", the real Craig gaslights people by saying "there was a bag of fireworks in my room, what was I supposed to do?" Uhm, not touch stuff that isn't yours when you're a guest in someone home? Craig is a prick that learned how to act on tv, he's not a different person, he just acts like there's a camera now because Paige trained him. His behavior in this season was gross. That is all.

I recently got into Summer House/Winter House and am now watching Winter House season 2. For those who don't know, Sandoval and Schwartz visit the Winter House gang in Vermont for a couple of days. At some point, Sandoval is having a conversation with Austen (of Southern Charm fame) about Austen's blossoming relationship with Olivia (Southern Charm). Sandoval says, "Okay, so that tells me you're definitely not gonna be hookin' up with any other girls... If it makes you feel any better, neither am I."

For context, Winter House season 2 was filmed in February 2022 (premiered October 2022). Vanderpump Rules season 10 (aka Scandoval season) was filmed July-September 2022 (and then bits in early 2023 before premiering in spring 2023). Just wild to me to think that Tom made that comment to Austen mere months before beginning an epic affair with one of his long term girlfriend's close friends. I couldn't believe no one had mentioned it before on this sub or the Summer House/Winter House subs, so felt like some kind of mandated reporter lol. If anyone wants to watch the conversation itself, it starts Winter House s2e4 at 30:50!

Rewatching season 1 of Winter House and honestly it was such a good season, I wish they could’ve kept the same cast and energy. This was the only season that didn’t feel forced, it felt like an actual friend group just partying.

My favorite moments:

• Kyle having a meltdown over bedrooms

• Lindsay drunkenly professing her love for Austen after falling out of her chair and eating complete shit

• Meeting Andrea for the first time

• Kyle crying because he lost Amanda during a party

I just finished watching summer house and started winter house. I am on season 2 of WH now and am i the only one that feels like Kyle and Amanda received a VERY different edit on WH. They seem way more solid, not one scene of fighting and a lot more pda and affection is shown. But in the same years on SH, it was a disaster for them? I wonder why that is?

I’m watching winter house season 2 for the first time and omg Jess is SOOOO annoying with Kory.. like “you could have me on your bed naked right now but no you want to hangout with your boys?!” Grow up girl. Let the man breathe. And she keeps talking about how guys are always flocking to her and it’s so gross. Every other girl in the house is more attractive than you. Like stop talking like that. It’s not a good look.. I can’t stand her lol

So I saw recently that Winter House () was cancelled which I would have been more upset about if I was even remotely interested in this last crap show season.

I think the issue with Winter House was that this past season went away from what made it successful in the first place: A Summer House/Southern Charm mashup show with some randos thrown in that don't take away from that core dynamic.

This year, it just felt like a mishmash of random people without the prior relationships and dynamics that made the first two seasons so successful. Sure, I guess Kyle and Amanda are part of that core, but from the little I watched, it didn't feel the same without at least some of Lindsay, Paige, Craig, Ciara, and Austen.

Those five, along with Kyle, really formed the base/identity of the show, and it's clear from this past season that when you largely go away from that, it doesn't work. Amanda, I guess, has been there too, but I never really felt like she contributed much (honestly, she hasn't contributed much to Summer House either and was super annoying in the first episode of the new season).

I finished my Summer House rewatch in time for the S8 premiere next week! I intended to watch Winter House S3 as part of the rewatch but I started the first episode and just can’t get into it (plus I’ve only heard bad things about this season anyways 😅). Is there anything I need to know from WH s3 going into next week’s premiere? I heard about Danielle being very cringe and Sam/Kory are no longer relevant to SH anyways…. Anything else of note? Thank you to the heroes who watched this season so I don’t have to!!

Which one would make more sense to watch next

Bravo ran a marathon of the last season of SC a few weeks ago and it sucked me in. I have never watched it before and there I was, sucked into the drama with these beautiful people. So needless to say I’m currently making my way through the series. Near the end of S4 rn. Are we supposed to be watching summer and/or winter house? Do they tell us in the show? I’ve been trying to avoid googling because I don’t want spoilers of the drama unfolding.

Catching up on winter house and I really hope they bring Malia and Katie back for season 4!

I liked Jordan from MV Summer House and Bria but did anyone think Jordan was boring on Winter House. My houseguests would be Amir, Bria, Jordan, Carl, Kyle, Amanda, Brian, Paige, Craig, and Chris. Also, Lindsay because I want to see how Lindsay and Carl are in a house together now that they're broken up.

Apologies if this has already been discussed but I just binged Winter House and can’t get over Danielle’s behavior. Her desperation towards Alex, her treatment of Jordan, her choice of cowboy hats at all times. It was bad!! I get that she was fresh off a break up but I found her to be so painfully embarrassing in every episode that I don’t think that I’ll ever look at her the same. It sort of makes me reevaluate how she behaved with Lindsay last season of SH. Im no Lindsay fan but Danielle is clearly very insecure and needs a lot of attention so perhaps there is more to the story there. Would love to know if I’m the only one that feels this way

Hey y’alllll I just finished crushing all of southern charm from the beginning and southern hospitality and now have a void. Should I start with summer house or winter house first? Is there an order that will result in a better experience?

Watching Danielle on Winter House was so wildly uncomfortable. I have never seen someone with less chill in my life. She acted like she OWNED Alex. Girl, he was never your boyfriend. And when she said to Jordan "you seem to be low energy - maybe it's because you don't have any men to flirt with" I nearly spit out my drink. Can you say PROJECTION??? I think she needs to take a serious break from reality tv and do some soul searching. I think she is a genuinely good person but wow, she seems lost.

Also - can we stop with the "I jUsT wAnNa PaRtY" schtick?? No you don't. You just want validation.

All I could think about watching this entire season is how badly the floors needed to be swept/vacuumed. I get that they aren't there to spend their time cleaning but those floors were soooo distracting.

I've never noticed it on Summer House so maybe it's just all the carpets .
