Moments (Spanish: 'Instantes') is the title of a text wrongly attributed to Argentine writer Jorge Luis Borges. It was widely spread through articles, compilations, posters and email chain letters, mainly in Spanish.
Spanish versions, with some variations, consist of a first person narrated poem about an 85-year-old person who regrets not having enjoyed some simple pleasures during his life and instead having focused on safety and correctness.
The vocabulary, syntax and style do not match those of Borges.
The first known version of the text was authored by American humorist and cartoonist Don Herold, and published by College Humor before 1935, or perhaps early that year, under the title "I'd Pick More Daisies". Herold's text is in prose, and it lacks the melancholic tone of the Spanish poem. E.g.:
Herold published a revised version in the October 1953 number of Reader's Digest.
Another English version, attributed to one Nadine Stair or Nadine Strain, starts:

In mathematics and group theory, a block system for the action of a group G on a set X is a partition of X that is G-invariant. In terms of the associated equivalence relation on X, G-invariance means that
for all g in G and all x, y in X. The action of G on X determines a natural action of G on any block system for X.
Each element of the block system is called a block. A block can be characterized as a subset B of X such that for all g in G, either
If B is a block then gB is a block for any g in G. If G acts transitively on X, then the set {gB | g â?? G} is a block system on X.
The trivial partitions into singleton sets and the partition into one set X itself are block systems. A transitive G-set X is said to be primitive if contains no nontrivial partitions.
If B is a block, the stabilizer of B is the subgroup
The stabilizer of a block contains the stabilizer Gx of each of its elements. Conversely, if x â?? X and H is a subgroup of G containing Gx, then the orbit of x under H is a block. It follows that the blocks containing x are in one-to-one correspondence with the subgroups of G containing Gx. In particular, a G-set is primitive if and only if the stabilizer of each point is a maximal subgroup of G.
A Loss for Words (formerly Last Ride) was an American pop punk band from Abington/Hanover, Massachusetts.
Matty Arsenault and Danny Poulin from Lions Lions started a new band, Last Ride, in 1999, it would soon feature Kreg Dudley, Chris Murphy, and Evan Cordeiro. The band had five names listed in a notebook before they changed it, and one of the names was A Loss for Words. The band would change its name to A Loss for Words after attending a minister's service. Mike Adams was soon drafted to play bass after the original bass player had no desire to play in front of people. Marc Dangora, from Mommy a Fly Flew Up My Pee Hole, joined in 2004.
By April 2004, several tracks were posted on the band's PureVolume account: "Bullets Leave Holes", "Death or Glory", "Rose Colored Lens", "Shoot for Seven", "Faze 3", and "Warren's Eyes". The band recorded 3 songs with Matt Squire in College Park, Maryland, in January 2005. A track listing for a release called Coming Soon to a Theater Near You, released in 2004, was put up in February. In March, it was announced the band were in a studio recording six songs that would be released on an EP, to be released by Rock Vegas, with a planned release month of May. The tracks were finished being mixed by April, and a new release month set, June. Unmastered versions of two tracks, "A Theme for Your Ego" and "Bullets Leave Holes", from the EP were posted online in May. "A Theme for Your Ego" featured guest vocals by Brendan Brown from The Receiving End of Sirens. The band released their first EP on Rock Vegas on 1 July, called These Past 5 Years (2005). The EP sold over 1,000 copies in under two months. On September 23, Rock Vegas revealed the EP sold out in 4 weeks, and that they were repressing it with new disc art.
In philately, a block is a group of four or more unseparated stamps. Blocks are of interest not only because they are rarer than individual stamps, but they also preserve relative positions of stamps as they were originally printed, information that is crucial to understanding how the stamps were produced.
Blocks of stamps from the edges of the original sheet or pane often include sections of the sheet's margin, which may have a wide variety of information. For instance, arrow blocks preserve the guide lines used by line up the sheets for perforation or other production steps (these are usually angled in an arrow shape, thus the name), and center line blocks includes lines printed down the middle of a sheet. An imprint block includes the name of the printer, while for many United States stamps the zip block includes a promotional mention of the ZIP code.
The most commonly collected kind of block is the plate block, which includes the part of the margin where the serial numbers of the printing plates may be found.
(Untitled) is the ninth album by the American rock band The Byrds and was released in September 1970 on Columbia Records (see 1970 in music). It is a double album, with the first LP featuring live concert recordings from two early 1970 performances in New York City and with the second LP consisting of new studio recordings. The album represented the first official release of any live recordings by the band as well as the first appearance on a Byrds' record of new recruit Skip Battin, who had replaced the band's previous bass player, John York, in late 1969.
The studio album mostly consisted of newly written, self-penned material, including a number of songs that had been composed by band leader Roger McGuinn and Broadway theatre director Jacques Levy for a planned country rock musical that the pair were developing. The production was to have been based on Henrik Ibsen's Peer Gynt and staged under the title of Gene Tryp (an anagram of Ibsen's play), with the narrative taking place in the south-west of America during the mid-19th century. However, plans for the musical fell through and five of the songs that had been intended for Gene Tryp were instead recorded by The Byrds for (Untitled)—although only four appeared in the album's final running order.
Untitled is the first studio album by the British singer/songwriter Marc Almond's band Marc and the Mambas. It was released by Some Bizzare in September 1982.
Untitled was Almond's first album away from Soft Cell and was made concurrently with the latter's The Art of Falling Apart album. Almond collaborated with a number of artists for this album, including Matt Johnson of The The and Anni Hogan. The album was produced by the band, with assistance from Stephen Short (credited as Steeve Short) and Flood.
Jeremy Reed writes in his biography of Almond, The Last Star, that Untitled was "cheap and starkly recorded". He states that Almond received "little support from Phonogram for the Mambas project, the corporate viewing it as non-commercial and a disquieting pointer to the inevitable split that would occur within Soft Cell". An article in Mojo noted that "from the beginning, Almond and Ball had nurtured sideline projects, though only the former's - the 1982 double 12 inch set Untitled - attracted much attention, most of it disapproving." The article mentions that Almond "who preferred to nail a song in one or two takes" stated that it was all "about feel and spontaneity, otherwise it gets too contrived" when accused of singing flat.<ref name"mojo">Paytress, Mark. Rudyard Kipling was a prolific poet, novelist and journalist and one of the most well-known Victorian writers of his time. In 1907, he was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature for his great body of work which included 'The Jungle Book' and his enduring poetic masterpiece 'If'. In perhaps one of the most inspirational poems ever written, Kipling outlines for his son the behaviours and attitudes it takes to become a man, advising his son about how to perceive the world and life's challenges so that he can both learn from his experiences and resolutely overcome barriers. This poem is one of our favourites and we hope you find our rendition of it worthy of the words.
