I was pretty excited when we got him for spring split but I’ve been unimpressed ever since. It looks like he has too many “for fun” games. I’ve seen nothing like what we saw from him on EG. Not sure if it’s just a bad fit or what, but this has been a pretty disappointing acquisition.

Hot take: Overwatch casters are ruining Overwatch Esports

The reason I'm making this rant is, as a Chinese fan, we don't have official OWCS broadcasts. So we have been watching Chinese pro players and coaches "co-stream" and commentating on the OWCS games. For example, for today's Crazy Racoon VS Zeta game, I was watching Guxue's stream. It was such a great game. So I wanted to rewatch it right after it was finished. So I opened the Youtube video with official English commentating. The difference is NIGHT and DAY.

The English casters were basically saying things like "LIP just killed Heesung." or "Shu just got a 2K." There was very little strategic analysis, and when there was, they were often wrong. For example, they once criticized CR Lucio's ult usage, but not realizing it forced out Zeta's ult to make it worth it.

Overwatch is beautiful, but it's such a complicated and fast-paced game. If you just watch it without an analytical mind, all you will see is a bunch of pixels using ults and killing each other. Without proper commentating, Overwatch Esports is simply an unfinished product for the average viewers to enjoy.

The casters have to be able to break the game down in real time, explaining to the audience what is the win condition of each fight, who is playing well and who is making mistakes.

I have seen Jake do this as a caster. I have seen Guxue and other pro players and coaches do this in their co-stream. Please, for the next Overwatch pro game, find a co-streamer who actually understands the game and breaks it down for the viewers. The current English broadcasts (at least for today's OWCS games) are ruining Overwatch Esports.

Feel free to recommend any co-streams you like.

Stop changing roster, it clearly doesn't work

FNC has a headcoach, seems like he's doing some good work

assistant coach for draft and draft aren't an issue

a massage/fitness guy

But every other lec team have some staff to teach macro to players, fnc has nothing and now they win fights but get outmacro every single game since 2014

Well that it folks. C9 has been eliminated from playoffs and fails to qualify for worlds. I guess the question is… what now?

On paper we have 5 players who have the potential to be one of, if not the best, player in their role. We also brought back a veteran coach who had had success with the organization in the past. How could we improve from here?

Should we bring in more youth? Turn to another veteran? Go for a salty run back? Clinch our butts tighter than humanly possible?

This year has been a major disappointment. How can C9 bounce back considering the sweeping changes coming to the LCS next year?

What are the implications of the removal of "canon" status on the 5-win medal?

Before season 4, it was a very cut-and-dry thing; 5 wins in the numbered, or canon, events meant you got the medal. But now it's much less clear. This comment from Kara indicates how the Noxcrew feel about the divide: they don't like it, because they just want MCC to be MCC. The implication of this is that any win from season 4 onwards counts, so for instance Pearl's wins in Pride 24 and the Ender Cup now mean she is 2/5 of the way to the medal. How do feel about this?

There's also an important follow-up question: do events that were previously considered "non-canon" now retroactively count?

I'm fairly certain that this wouldn't push anyone over the 5-win threshold, which is lucky I suppose, but it is worth considering. For instance, Elaina, with her wins in Pride 23 and Party, would go from having 0 wins to having 2. More significantly, if we take this at its most extreme, it would push Jimmy (14, 28, 30, and now Jingle Jam), Jojo (25, 31, P24, and now Rising 1), and BadBoyHalo (16, 24, and now All-Stars, Scuffed) up to 4 wins each, so the medal would be within reach for them.

I do have my own opinions on the matter, but I'll put them in a comment, because I'd rather you guys formulate your own opinions before seeing mine. What are your thoughts?

We need First Touch vs Chalked Cast at the World Championship

I just want to put it out into the universe that we really need to see First Touch vs Chalked Cast 3v3 at the world championship. I remember back in season 3-4ish, it felt like a missed opportunity that we never saw the F2 guys (JonSandman, NeatMike, Woofless) play in a showmatch at a world championship for content. And I think it would be a missed opportunity if we never saw First Touch vs Chalked Cast. Just for fun. Maybe like a best of 3 or 5. Manifesting.

EDIT: By the way, this should be played live on stage, NOT pre-recorded. Let them play to the crowd a bit.

HIHI I'm Rose from Green Geckos in MCCR3 !! 💜🪐

It's super awesome meeting all of you and I wanted to introduce myself for those that may not know who I am !! So...

Hi I'm Rose and I have been streaming on twitch for a few years now and I also create content sometimes on youtube but mostly tiktok atm! I've participated in several different kinds of SMPs so some know me from that but also I sometimes dabble in variety content on stream! And most recently I have become a vtuber and I even have a new model in the works :D (my first custom made model!)

As a creator, I'm pretty high energy and can get pretty uh loud at times. So warning for that I guess LOL. But I'm SUPER excited to compete as the Green Geckos with my squad!

Also yes,,, I did break Hole in the Wall...I also stood there for 420 minutes. Because...why not. Anyway that's all! If you have any other questions I'd love to answer any!!!!

introduction :D

Losing Caps was the biggest transfer of power in League history

Basically title, it is insane how FNC has not won anything since they lost him.

FNC was THE org to be.

Now they are the eternal Number 2 in Europe.

Next time we have a shot at winning will be the day Caps either leaves EU (very Unlikely) or he retires in like 2029 LOL

Not an Ocelote fan, but hey he realized instantly that Caps is the diamond of EU.

I mean just look at his resume, it speaks for itself. Guy is the only monster EU ever had.
