THD House

Demo recorded in the basement of the house I lived in. The “studio” was outside of Tim Fool’s bedroom. Recorded by Chad from Downside who lived in a closet upstairs. Other roommates were obviously Jason from THD Records, Mark Wilcox from Destroy!, and of course Kyle.

Punk house life.

Dirt Poor were famous for their gimmicks. Check out the video on here with them playing in a u-haul truck, the secret show featuring the first ever Dillinger Four show is also on here. I shot both of those. They were more than a gimmick though. Very solid punk rock band. Their whole discography is available for free from bandcamp, so if you like this one, check out the rest.

Rebel Nation

What can I say about Dirt Poor that I haven’t already said? If you dig this, seek out the video linked on this site to their moving truck show at the uptown bar! That was classic!

Follow the link to bandcamp where you can download their entire catalog for free.

The Secret Show – 5 March 1994

This show was a big deal and no one really knew it at the time. I certainly didn’t, and I shot this! Dillinger Four’s first show. Kung Fools, Dirt Poor & Bombsite all played this night. What a lineup! All at a location, unknown to everyone that attended. If you wanted to go, you met up near the Uptown Bar and we all walked there together. How f’n rad was that?!??

See history in the making here!

This is another video that I shot but no longer have. Thanks to Tim Fool for giving this the light of day!

Dirt Poor
Uptown Bar & Grill, Minneapolis, MN
Date Unknown

Rocking the U-Haul out front of the Uptown Bar & Grill, in  Minneapolis, MN.  This was a Supersuckers & New Bomb Turks show inside the building.  Outside the building it was pure chaos.  This is one of those urban legends of Minneapolis Punk Rock.  I’ve heard stories of them playing 3-4 songs, and how close the cops were to catching them.  Truethfully, it was short and they were in little danger of being caught.  This video sets the record straight.

Between sets inside, Dirt Poor rolled up in a U-Haul, and rocked Hennepin Ave for about half a song before the generator stopped working.

Watch the crowd shots…if you don’t know someone in that crowd…then you aren’t paying attention!

The video is stolen from my other website, BasementShows.com
