Why Airborne is superior Why Airborne is superior

So I’m drunk on the Kool Aid and Mich Ultra, but I’ll have you know. Airborne is superior because as MG James M. Gavin (who ironically I learned more about from an AH timeline than from anything else) said “Show me a man who will jump out an airplane, and I’ll show you a man who’ll fight” the purpose of modern airborne is not for mass operations like Normandy or Market Garden or even Grenada or Panama, but it’s an initial gut check. 90% of leg infantry or other legs won’t turn and run, but a guy who has voluntarily followed someone out of a fucking airplane is going to be someone that will fight. That is why Airborne is superior. QED

Are there nerds in the Infantry? Are there nerds in the Infantry?

I ship to basic in a couple weeks as 11x and a random worry came to mind. As someone who enjoys the geekier parts of life, but also absolutely loves the stereotypically masculine parts of life, I find myself with very few friends, as most people usually lean to one or the other.

It’s hard to find people who will sit and play something like Stellaris with you for hours, but then turn around and go rucking or fantasize about owning horses etc. Am I destined to be consumed by loneliness? A Baconator is always better with big Mac sauce.

EDIT: I appreciate all the replies! It’s definitely given me more perspective… at the cost of my karma. But 1000% worth it.

…and Goku stomps Naruto. That’s a no brainier.
