AITAH for blocking my "friend" on social media after she ignored me during the family vacation I invited her on?

I (23F) planned a 4-day trip to Disneyland with my family. Since I only had 2 days off work and my family was staying for a week, I asked my friend Jane (23F) to join us. She was excited at first, but became distant after buying the tickets, which I thought was due to her new boyfriend. A week before the trip, her mom had emergency surgery and Jane injured her leg. I thought she might cancel and told her it was OK if she did, but she confirmed the night before that she was still coming.

During the trip, Jane was constantly on her phone with her boyfriend, she even left the hotel room every night and came back late at night when I was already asleep. She was distant and didn't engage much with me or my family. On the first day at Disney, she left early, saying her leg hurt. She later told us her dad booked her a separate tour around LA and a room at a different hotel, so she wouldn’t join us for the second day. We agreed on meeting the next at the bus station to get to the airport.

The next day, Jane missed the bus to the airport and texted that she would Uber there. I kept waiting for her at the airport entrance for 4 hours, then I found her at a restaurant but when she saw me she ignored me completely. During our layover, she continued to avoid me. Once we arrived home, she didn’t offer me a ride, even though she had said she would.

A few days later, I found out Jane lied about her dad booking the tour (amongst other things). She had posted in a Facebook group asking for recommendations. I believe she wanted to explore on her own, but didn't communicate this. I don’t think my family made her uncomfortable, as they were respectful and inclusive. A few days later I decided to block her on social media bc I found her behaviour rude towards my family and me. Some friends told me I rushed into blocking her rather than talking to her in the first place. So, AITAH?

we should talk about Rekha.

she's fucking CRUSHING IT this season holy shit. like what a mind. compelling, cinematic story beats; world-shattering, abs-forming bits and refs; out here mastering and borderline breaking a brand new system with all these turbo token bumped crits and multiple 20s? I'd expect nothing less from a seasoned D20 sidequest veteran but damn.

Rekha stays blowing up 100 percent and never stops.

aiden changed my life

i often think of an early main ep where slime is recounting a story where aiden is with a girl watching a movie on his laptop, and he receives a message from another girl who he was seeing, which is seen by the girl he’s with. aiden then turns the movie off to talk to communicate to the girl about her feelings and such. in slime fashion, he makes fun of aiden, calling him a psychopath. but i remember listening to this and all i could think was that what aiden did was extremely healthy and ultimately admirable. it has actively informed decisions i have made since then. i think why i’m making this post is to just state that listening to a podcast that just happens to feature healthily masculine guys has made a measurable good impact on my life, and i appreciate them for that.

AITAH for dropping a best friend for making my dads death about herself

On the 8th of July my dad (51m) sadly passed away. After he had passed i (20f) reached out to my best friend (22f) and best friend (20f) letting them know what happened. Both sent a lovely message and 20f came to the hospital to be with me and my family. 22f started to message 20f the same day having a go at her for being there for me through the darkest time in my life, she accused her of not caring about her feeling or what she was going through (two of her friends stopped talking to her). Obviously 20f talked to me and let me know what has happened and what she said and sent me screenshots of the messages.

The next day 22f came over to my house and brought flowers and we were just talking, my mum 52f came outside to talk to her as well and 22f started to talk about herself and the dark place she is in cause two of her friends stopped talking to her. My mum rolled her eyes and walked back inside to get away from her. 22f then said to me “well since we both are in dark places we can just cry together”. I didn’t say anything to her at this point due to the emotional state I was in.

The next day in the group chat with 20f, 22f and myself 22f started to brag about the fact that she went and saw her dad and got money, she kept talking how great it is everytime she sees her dad she gets money. Now I found this incredibly rude of her as 48hrs ago my dad just passed away and I won’t ever physically see my dad again.

On the 19th of July we had my dad funeral and wake. After the funeral after we had all left the chapel 22f gave my mum a hug and then proceeded to ask her if food and drinks are already paid for (she works at maccas and has never had an adults job) as she doesn’t have much money right now. My mum didn’t say anything to her at all then. My mum then came and told me what she said which obviously pissed me off. Later at the wake me and all my friends and boyfriend were sitting at a table just having a few drinks and talking, I left the table a few times to go talk to everyone else to came to the wake as they are family friends and mates of my dads. One of my friends 19f and I went to the bathroom as she needed to talk to me. She told me that 22f everytime I left the table she would get up and walk all the around the the side my boyfriend is sitting at and standing extremely close to him and then proceeded to put her arm around his waist to which he said “what the fuck do you think you are doing”. After I was told this I was really pissed off but I knew I couldn’t say anything at this point as it isn’t the place nor time to being this up.

A few days later once everything was finished I decided to send 22f a text telling her how everything she has done in the past 2 weeks has made me extremely annoyed and disappointed with her. I explained everything in detail to her about what she had done and how she made me feel, and I told her she needs to grow up and stop acting like the sun shines out of her ass. I told her I need space as I am so mad and pissed off at her.

So AITAH for dropping a friend for making my dad’s death about herself?

So, I just started A Starstruck Oddessey.

And I am a little over halfway through the second episode and can already tell this is going to be a top tier season for me. One thing that really struck me though, in the first episode, was Zac's character. I kept thinking that type of character was so out of character for Zac. And then, after finding out about his REAL character I was blown away. The swing from the least Zac Oyama type character to the most Zac Oyama character was such an insanely good early twist.

Good stuff.

AITA: My husband has ruined my birthday 2 years in a row and this was the last straw in our marriage.

My husband (29) and I (32) have been married for 8 years now. We have 4 boys ages 4 and under so our life is extremely busy. I am a stay at home mom who babysits other children for money, is in school full time. My husband works 7-1 Monday-Friday and does nothing to help around the house and spends little to no time with our boys. I take care of our boys, the house and everything in between while in school so my down time is little to none. Well last year my husband completely forgot my birthday and I had to tell him at 3pm he forgot my birthday and I got a pity dinner that was crap because the kids were just screaming the whole time while he sat there and enjoyed his meal and left me to the meas. Well today is my birthday and all I asked for was a break. I didn't even want to go out to dinner because then I knew it was gonna just be me trying to keep them chill and quiet while out. So instead I asked for a break and to order in dinner so I had literally nothing to do. Well he gets off work, comes home and just goes to sleep. Left me to deal with the kids, on top of I still had to do our budget just to see if we could afford dinner to grab food. I ended up just making the boys dinner and that's it. So he then calls me petty and a child because I didn't make him food. Inalso refuse to talk to him and im done giving in to talking it out because he is never wrong. Our marriage is already shitty with infidelity, he belittles me and the way he treats me is honestly terrible, but I'm trying to at least stick it out until I have a degree and can support my boys but I don't know how much longer I can take anymore being treated this way. But AITA for making this being the last straw?

Sam Tallent is a monster!

I became an instant fan after he roasted Hans seemingly for no reason. I immediately paused KT and went down a Sam Tallent youtube rabbit hole till like 3am and everything I saw made me a bigger fan.

He has such a unique style and perspective on things and he doesn't come off as being an asshole even when he says horrible things. You can tell that he's been a student of the game for a long time and his comedy skills are off the charts. I'm glad he's getting more traction lately.

Been watching KT for 4-5 years now and he's definitely my top 3, maybe even #1 atm. He just seems like such a genuinely good dude with such a jolly laugh that's so contagious. When he laughs into the mic it's because he finds that particular thing really funny that's why it's not annoying but rather it adds to the moment. No wonder him and Tim Dillon are close friends. Both great KT guests and comics.

I could go on and on praising him but just the fact that I just joined this sub to make this post about him should tell you all you need know.

I will forever be a fan.
