On June 28, 2024, we lost our dear Alexandre de Sant'Anna, the cheerful and unforgettable LECO, my friend-brother of 53 years. A great guy who was funny, intelligent and supportive, he was a libertarian militant, having participated in and edited the newspaper Inimigo do Rei, the main anarchist newspaper in Brazil in the post-dictatorship 1980s.

On the afternoon of June 29, two well-known fascists—Monica Buckley and real estate developer David Moritz—attended a bookfair session at the West Asheville Public Library. Their intentions in being at “Strategic Lessons from the Palestinian Resistance” were not benign; they were there to provoke a conflict and sell a false narrative that the Another Carolina Anarchist Bookfair is an antisemitic event.

The Salamanca Anarchist Bookfair continues, this will be the sixteenth edition since its inception in 2008. We remain in the work of building a space of action and theory that little by little has been consolidated within the annual network of book fairs that are organized in different geographical locations.
The days scheduled for this edition will be Friday, August 9, and Saturday, August 10, in Salamanca.
