After playing Ghost of Tsushima twice, I finally visited Tsushima Archipelago in Japan this summer. When I got back home I tried my best to line up the same perspective of photos I took inside the game & IRL.

What’s a game that haunts you to this day for purchasing it and not liking it?

For me it’s Scarlet Nexus. I bought it coming off a high of Ff7, DQ10, and needing another RPG to scratch that itch. It looked cool, good soundtrack, and combat seemed neat. I EVEN played the demo and was sold.

Then the gameplay loop and story just freaking nosedived for me. I can’t believe I payed full-price for this two years back. I think about the remorse every at least once a week.

I swear, just to kick me while I’m down it’s been free in the PS+ store for some time. If anything, I have stopped buying games day 1 ever since—so that was the ONLY good thing I got out of that game.

I have a tendency to avoid playing sequels if I didn’t play the games that came before it. What great games have I probably missed out on?

For example it took me way too long to play Fallout or Elder Scrolls games. What are some other sequels that are fine to hop into if you’ve never played the ones before?
