Just had a little moment that made me almost cry with joy for a second
Just had a little moment that made me almost cry with joy for a second

I’m British and live in England, and my girlfriend lives in America. I’m staying with her for a month right now and she went to a concert with her friend. She sent me a text telling me she’s on her way home and if I want Taco Bell. And for a second it felt like we had a “normal” life, like we weren’t long distance, and like she was coming home to our house. It gave me hope, hope that one day that will be our life. Probably a weird thing to think but I just wanted to share.

Edit: I’m glad this post got so much attention, its really nice to hear other people’s experience with long distance and it gives me a lot of hope for my own. This girl is my person, I love her more than anything. People always wonder how I do it and say how hard it must be, but I have no choice, she’s who I want to be with forever.

(For context he forgets everything every 10 minutes but his career came up and said that this is one of the few things he does remember) A customer with Alzheimer’s remembered me and gave me a skull tankard as we both have a the same interest in skulls.
