Yelling in the forest.... feels good, changes nothing.... Yelling in the forest.... feels good, changes nothing....

For nothing but releasing some anger.. I just want to say thanks again Atomic Mass Games for letting your supply drain down and then announcing you were done with the game.

I realize that you were most likely focused on ensuing that you weren't left with inventory - and from a purely corporate view that makes sense. Let the inventory bleed down, then announce it's over. Everyone runs out and buys what's left because of scarcity and all.

But while you maximized your single game profitability/limited exposure - you have pissed off everyone that loves this game and didn't have everything they might have wanted if the game was going to end. It's not how you treat customers that you expect to have transfer to other products down the line. I for one will likely never buy a game system you sell in the future if it's not a one and done purchase, because I don't trust you.

Want to regain some customer loyalty? Print some limited runs of the most popular ships and/or run a prepurchase program and sell them that way. Use your retailers. Have them order and only manufacture what you know is sold.

GAR / CIS Ship Expansions - How many do I need? GAR / CIS Ship Expansions - How many do I need?

Basically, the title. Last year I asked how many GAR and CIS Squadron expansions were needed for casual and competitive. Though most suggested 2 - 3, I ended up grabbing 4 in case I needed spare parts or plastic pegs or if models were defective. Now I'm looking at acquiring ships and so far, I have the following:

GAR

Fleet Starter x3

  • Acclimator x3, Consular x6

GAR Pelta x4

CIS

Fleet Starter x3

  • Munificant x3, Hardcell x6

Providence x2

Recusant x1

The only ship I don't have is the Venator, and I suspect it'll be difficult to acquire an official model at reasonable prices for a long time. With that being said, I'm open to picking up additional copies of ships I own if it makes sense for certain competitive builds or meme lists. How many ships would you recommend? For Venators, I should think one would be good, two would be better. For Providence, I suspect two is fine. Any Medium ship for either can be run cheaply with minimal upgrades but I'm not sure I could squeeze 4 in a 400-point list for either faction. As for Consulars or Hardcells, I don't usually see MSU lists on this subreddit, but I can't imagine I'd need more than 6 of either per faction.

Homebrew LAAT idea Homebrew LAAT idea

Hello Admirals,

Like many others I would love to see LAAT’s usable in armada, and I’ve been thinking about how to best replicate them.

My idea is as follows:

They would be slow, probably speed 2 and have 5 or 6 hull. They would have a relatively weak anti-squadron armament and worse anti-ship armament. They would have the “heavy” keyword and a new custom keyword, “transport”. I have no idea what to give it for a points cost.

Keyword “transport” would function similarly to the boarding troopers upgrade card, it would read “if you are within distance 1 of a medium or larger enemy ship, instead of attacking, you may choose and spend one of it’s readied defense tokens”.

I like to think that this keyword could be applied to new squadrons for each faction, such as the sentinel class shuttle for imperials, trident class assault ships for CIS, and U-wings for the rebels.

This is my first time trying to home-brew armada content, please let me know if you have any ideas or criticisms.

Help with ship scales Help with ship scales
Homebrew & Third Party

So why trollin around on the Driveyards for new variants of ships and see that someone had made cards for ships from my two favorite hard sci-fi series, Babylon 5 and The Expanse. So now that I have tracked down decent 3d models for all the ships I now have the problem of scale.

So I hope that some other fans can help me spitball the scale of the models to be used on the tabletop. because right now the Donager is longer than a pringles can.

Selling collection! Selling collection!

Hey admirals! So I’m a huge Armada fan but I recently switched over to Legion as I enjoy the painting and strategy of that game. Because of that, my armada collection has been sitting untouched and I think we can find them a better home! I plan on probably buying the custom printed ships if I decide to come back but…. All my collection is great condition and was wondering any tips on how to go about marketing them. Individually? Bulk? I have every ship in the game including SSD ! I would also include all the ship cardboard and stands of course.

My thought is just toss things on EBay and see what happens !
