What game really piles on the difficulty right at the end?

Many games start out sort of easy, maybe with a tutorial, and ramp up the difficulty over time. Or they just start difficult and get even more difficult. But I've played a couple of games that really took me by surprise and started easy but ramped way, way up in difficulty right at the end.

My example would be the SNES game Super Punch Out. It's a boxing (and sort of puzzle) game with 16 different fights. I beat the first 13 boxers in under 10 attempts each, but the 14th boxer, Hoy Quarlow, turned the difficulty up to 11. I'm talking regularly getting demolished without even landing a hit. I'm about 105 attempts in and starting to crack the code, but I really appreciate that this guy has given me a real struggle.

Bethesda Game Studios workers have unionized. Not the same as the QA union. This time it’s “wall to wall”… “241 developers including artists, engineers, programmers and designers”, per the CWA. And they say Microsoft has recognized the union.
