  • Polite shoplifter Polite shoplifter

Regular customer, pretty girl, 30s maybe, polite, cordial, let’s people with a couple items go ahead of her, uses scan and go, she’s definitely stealing every time but she’s such a pleasant customer. I was really busy handling SCO once and this lady was throwing a fit because she was out of bags and this girl took a stack from her terminal and gave them to the lady to shut her up. I’ve seen her in the parking lot at night after her trip putting multiple carts up that were left in random spots. At this point I don’t even care if she steals to be totally honest.

Anyone else ever let it slide?

I may have OCD Not sure, but I get irrationally agitated when I'm forced to do things that seem wrong...in an organizational kind of way. I may have OCD Not sure, but I get irrationally agitated when I'm forced to do things that seem wrong...in an organizational kind of way.

I've worked for Walmart for years so i know how to do things better than most. A lot of it literally organizing or setting up things a certain way that's more efficient in movement literally taking less steps.

My immediate supervisors lately are constantly in just get things done mode...in a sloppy stupid inefficient idiotic way that drives me crazy.

I get really annoyed even mad to the point I want to just go home five minutes after clocking in once I see it's going to be one of those days...I'm looking at how everyone appears to be mentally challenged around me

PSA: PAY FOR YOUR SAUCES!!!!! PSA: PAY FOR YOUR SAUCES!!!!!

I did AP for 3 years and still do it part time for Walmart.

Sauces from the deli, not getting scanned, is the number 1 reason associates end up getting fired as an internal thief.

Just had 2 more associates terminated due to a few dollars in sauce cups.

The ketchup and mustard packets are free, the sauce cups are not which is why they have a barcode on them and usually a sign by them saying they're 50-75 cents a pcs.

Don't get yourself fired over a few dollars.

    Registry??? Registry???

So how on earth am I supposed to do— registry. Associate here, had a customer come in looking to purchase items from a friend’s bridal shower registry. Sure okay I know how to do this, just scan the first two barcodes, scan the items, and then scan the final barcode, right? No. I kept getting the “use other barcode” or “item not found” alerts, no matter whether I used our oldest register that never got updated since before we started using the returns tab, our normal registers, or the janky brand new ones that everyone hates. Same issue every time. Tried looking the registry up under the financial services tab, but “nothing found, check to make sure everything looks correct” even though I was actively copying it letter for letter from the registry she had in her hand. Customer gave up and just asked for a gift receipt, but what do I do next time? Just advise them to shop online or get a gift receipt? Does the system just not work anymore?

Can I do anything about domestic abuse amongst customers? Can I do anything about domestic abuse amongst customers?

I was wondering if there was anything I can do about an abuse situation. I'm pulling a pallet over from grocery receiving to GM receiving and I see from a good distances a woman who is crouched down looking at a sunglasses display get pushed down by a man, (assuming it's her bf) slapped in the face, scolded quietly, then dragged by the checkout line. I parked my pallet and asked the customer service if we can do anything against that and they told me that unless they're asking for help then there's nothing we can do. She's clearly not in a good situation to walk away and talk to someone for help so that wouldn't happen anyways. This also happened in Mississippi and domestic abuse isn't taken too seriously down here but I really want to do something. Any advice?

Cardboard & Plastic Cardboard & Plastic

Hey y’all, I work maintenance during the day and lately, I have been having to deal with cleaning up plastic and cardboard around the balers at least twice or three times a shift which is frustrating to say the least but every since I started working here almost two years ago I have had to only clean around the baler if it was horribly trashed or if a bale had to be made. Now the receiving coach has been hounding me about coming to his call every time he deems the baler needs to be cleaned even if it is only a small pile of plastic that his team can deal with whereas I have to be pulled away from my normal tasks to deal with it. He even gave me feedback simply because I was working by myself for a majority of my shift and he wanted me to clean around the baler but I was busy all shift and couldn’t get to it so he gave me feedback for not completing tasks and showing him respect. I am tired of it cause he waits till I am by myself most of the time to call me over while i’m in the middle of getting trash, a spill, or cleaning the bathrooms and even if there are other maintenance members on the clock, he only calls for me and hounds me about it and lately it has just been getting worse to the point where I cannot do my normal job tasks because I have to stop what I am doing and do whatever he deems necessary. I have tried to explain to him that I work alone a lot of the time which leads me to be busy and he just said “You have 8 hours a shift to do your work”. It has gotten to the point where I cannot clean the bathrooms or get the trash cause he’ll make me clean around the baler or make a bale at the last hour of my shift and prevents me from doing what needs to be done. When he goes on vacation or has a day off, his team handles the balers with no problems at all and he even made me teach some associates how to make a bale “to make my job easier” yet he still calls me very often for simple stuff that his team handles and should be handling. Sorry for the long rant.
